Re: ADSL2 Plan Changes

There will be no change to any current customer's plans off peak period in the foreseeable future. Didn't John Linton send an email advising we have until 1 September before the Off Peak changes to 2-8am? Times change. Exetel is no longer intending to change the off peak times for any plans that ha...

Re: Off Peak Period Change

Times change. Exetel is no longer intending to change the off peak times for any plans that have an off peak period. That's great news! I suppose I'll receive an email regarding this change shortly... But I have another question: I'm still eligible to switch to 10GB/unlimited for $55/month inc home...

Re: Off Peak Period Change

I would like to see the unlimited off peak to go away. I would propose "unlimited" anytime plans that are shaped for the fairness fo all users. Here is my suggestions for adsl 2 (with optus phone) plans. I have no idea on the cost modeling of an ISP only what plans i see in the market. The cost pro...

Re: Off Peak Period Change

My ADSL2 + home phone plan is currently $55 for 8GB/60GB. I would be perfectly happy to pay the $10 switch fee to the 10GB/Unlimited, however not with the proposed peak hour reduction. A more rational decision is to upgrade the peak allowance to 15GB and get rid of the off peak allowance altogether....

Re: ADSL2+ Speed

I don't know whether the bandwidth in my area has been magically increased ten fold, or is it a new 3 metre extension cable I just bought, but my Exetel speed test has now resulted in 13 Mbps!! Awesome! It must be the cable, but who would've thought? Your current bandwidth reading is: 12.92 Mbps whi...

Hi, I am only 630m from Rockdale exchange and I am synching 18,000k but I can only get the following reading from Exetel speed test: Your current bandwidth reading is: 2.14 Mbps which means you can download at 273.8 KB/sec. from our servers. 28.8 kbps dial-up 33.6 kbps dial-up 53.3 kbps dial-up 56 k...

Re: Questions on my ADSL2+ plan.

tjioer, if you are on a bundled INC* or naked plan, your phone line contract is with Exetel. Other companies won't want to know you if you contact them directly. Exetel's contractor will carry out any repairs required under its deal with Exetel. Only Exetel sends you bills. The CSG primarily operat...

Re: Questions on my ADSL2+ plan.

My Goal = I want the least downtime for my internet. But change my phone line back to Telstra. May I ask why you wish to change your phone line back to Telstra? I only ask because I can only think of the following reasons: You saw something about Customer Service Waiver and got told that if you hav...
