As i knew nuthin bout voip when I signed up, and now I know less than nuthin.....

Can I change my DID number from Wollongong to a Sydney number, or do I have to cancel what I have now altogether and apply for a new voip service?

Re: wireless voip call failed

Are there any walkthroughs for dummies on ATA?

Like, what equipment do I need and how to set it up.

I want to use voip thru my laptop wireless usb dongle and thru my PC adsl1 dlink 502T.

They do both work now on xlite, but unreliable ring out.

I only had the 1 dongle, so it was pulled to check the older one.

Other one is not here now, so will have to leave it for another time.

thanks.

Re: HSPA/VOIP/Voicemail

>>>>>>yes... login to your user facilities, choose VOIP, Change Voip Services, Configure and then enable voice mail<<<<<<

Does this cost money?

hspa voip

Getting a 401 error while testing voip on the dongle on a second laptop.

I wanted to test an older machine to see if it will work fast enough for the owner before she buys the service.

Do I have to unenable the sip account on my laptop before it will register on the other one?

Re: South Coast (NSW) Coverage

Try a wok or a metal mesh frying basket.

A usb extension lead and fix dongle into it and aim for tower.

Tho, maybe the south coast has fixed itself.

Last week, could not connect, but worked yesterday and toady at Conjola park.

Re: HSPA limited connectivity

I did.

No better.

Just as well I am only paying 5 bucks a month and only use it when I am travelling or I would be loudly complaining paying for a service that does not deliver.

HSPA limited connectivity

Had wireless for a couple of months.

Has been working fine until a week ago.

Constant blue light on usb dongle.

How can I tell if it's a tower issue or other?

I am very close to a tower on a nearby hill and open rural area.

Re: Can't get no sense out of exetel support

OK, tested and works.

So , if people in my local 0244 code want to ring me on voip from a landline and are ringing the 0242 DID number, it will be STD for them?

0244 and 0242 are 150 kms apart.
