Re: What is Speed out of Mullaloo (WA) for AAPT / Optus

Surely there are other users from WA who have done the AAPT - Optus switch (even if only to get rid of their line provider), who can help me out. I really would like a personal account of what it's like, the only other dealing I have had with Optus was not a good one - that's why I am hesitant. Tryi...

Re: Current residential plan page

Suggestion from a lame black duck. The residential home page tab for Optus "Naked" ADSL2 really should be changed or another one added to reflect what really is hidden behind here. I just made a tool of myself for not realising that the " " really are that - it's not naked at all. It is actually a c...

Re: Price Increases For Out Of Contract Customers

Churn: within exetel from AAPT to Optus infrastructure - off the air for 3 weeks get a bundled service. No included calls but a mobile addon (useless/I need NextG) 8) I have no idea what your comment about "Exetel's mobiles being useless to you because you require 3G means - obviously the Exetel of...

Re: Price Increases

under "Premium Plans (Optus Network)" you will see 4 tabs. The first 3 are OT plans the 4th is OCV. Thanks Corey – A naked service is not something I would ever consider so I would never have looked under this tab without your explicit instructions. I would never associate it with a functioning wir...

Re: Price Increases For Out Of Contract Customers

1) I am unaware of any plan Exetel have ever had with a $6.00 excess charge. I believe this excess charge applied to one iteration of the shaped plans once the 2 GB "grace" excess was exceeded. Gidget Thank you - I had forgotten that instance. Thanks Gidget for reminding me of the shaping option I ...

Re: Price Increases For Out Of Contract Customers

1) I am unaware of any plan Exetel have ever had with a $6.00 excess charge. 2) The choices for the changing plans, on your User Facilities, are zero for a new contract or $40.00 for no contract 3) Exetel offers CV plans that include free local, national and calls to Optus mobiles 4) You should alw...

Re: Price Increases

I am fed up with companies that offer really good deals to "new" customers the ones that are only there for a short time and who like to get the most out of every dollar they spend. You have confirmed this by your recent actions and blamed us oldies for your business plan failure. been with you over...

Re: Very slow in Mullaloo, WA

Thanks Tim, Yes wireless is tricky (read frustrating) at times, I am using wpa2/tkip with a reasonably long alpha numeric psk with static ip addresses (and mac) reserved for all known lan clients within router. I did think this was the correct thing to do but will now look at securing it to the MAC ...

Very slow in Mullaloo, WA

Hi, Am in Perth, northern suburbs on Mullaloo exchange and my speed has been slow - at times very, very slow (stopped you may say) for the last week or so, have done isolation tests - ppp light is static and adsl & wan light are flickering as usual. Just before my speed slowed down Telstra were doin...
