Re: Has my account been canelled

This has happened to me as well. I sent a message to billing in January asking what I needed to do when my service was ported to another Telco and have a reply from them saying I don't need to do anything - my service will be made inactive the day after it is ported. Not true! My account is still ac...

VOIP services when leaving Exetel

Hi

I'm changing to mobile broadband at the end of the month so cancelling my ADSL and phone with Exetel. I'm assuming that VOIP requires an ADSL connection and will not work a standard PSTN line. Is this correct?

Re: Wii connection

Yeh, I already tried that. It seemed too easy and it was.

Wii connection

G'day I purchased a Wii and am trying to connect to the Wii Shop which requires me to do a system upgrade. When I try to do the system upgrade I get a 32022 error. This has not changed in four days of trying to do the upgrade. The error code is always the same. According to the information I found o...

VOIP not working

Hi I've had my modem and ATA turned off for a bit over a month. I turned them on again yesterday and everything worked fine i.e. I could make and receive VOIP calls. This morning I get a busy signal when I try to make a VOIP call and a no answer response if I try and call my VOIP number. ADSL and wi...

Re: ADSL2 Unlimited Plans (For Exetel Users Only)

Generally when i ask people why they still use a phone line, they say that then need to make international and national calls - or at least receive them. That is why we have VOIP, but it is often hard to explain such a point to those of a certain disposition... If you were to ask me, I would tell y...

Re: Huawei E160e Modem and Windows 7

Sounds like I should've asked here instead of on the Huawei website :)

Are you saying that I can't use a combination of E160E, AVG and Win7, and should change the virus program? Or that I need to uninstall and then reinstal AVG?

Re: Huawei E160e Modem and Windows 7

My E160E worked perfectly until I upgraded my laptop from Vista to Win7. Now the laptop freezes within minutes of using it to connect to the internet. It still works perfectly on my other computer running xp. Last time I checked the Huawei website they hadn't released a Win7 driver for it yet but th...

Re: ADSL drop out/connection problems

Thanks Corey for that information. My internet connection seems a lot slower than it used to be so I'm assuming that the stability profile is still on it but I'm not really sure how to tell. In my plan details it says service line speed is 18000/900 In my modem stats it says Modem Status Connected D...

Re: ADSL drop out/connection problems

Everything seems to be back to normal and working properly again today.

But I'd still like to know what a 'most stability profile' is and, if it's still on my line, is it something I would want to have on it?

ADSL drop out/connection problems

My ADSL2 has been dropping out since Thursday last week. I logged a ticket on Sunday. On Monday I got an email (sent by Exetel on Sunday) telling me that Exetel have installed the most stability profile to my connection and asked me to power cycle my modem. I did that. It also asked, if I continue t...

Re: VOIP information

The VOIP information that I posted about at the beginning of this thread is still wrong on the site. Also, I just noticed on the "Current Modem and New ATA" page, just below where it says "Exetel will supply the Netcomm V210P for $75 plus delivery" there is a link to the V210P specs. The link is bro...

Re: What happens to the topics that disappear from this forum?

Just remember, though, that we are volunteers with otherwise busy lives so we don't always say "how high" when you ask us to "jump" - be patient and courteous, it may not happen overnight, but it will happen :D It certainly was not my intention to be discorteous (and I don't think I have been) but ...

Re: What happens to the topics that disappear from this forum?

1 - Moderator deletion, logged in forum logs - we checked, none of your posts found. 2 - Database deletion, only possible by those who have direct access to the Exetel database (System administrators, etc). It's doubtful they'd start plucking forum posts out at random, I'm sure they have much more ...
