Early termiantion fee?

Cancelled my ADSL service and got charged $100 early termination fee while I was offered this to be waived? Who do I need to talk to for a refund?

Re: Everybody enjoying the last day of the month?

Must be my area then... Anyway thats enough for me, I have been on Optus DSL Direct for two years without a single hitch, and since switching to Exetel in December (Optus plans were not sufficient for my household usage anymore) service quality is just not acceptable. Going back to Optus on the new ...

Re: Sudden drop in speeds.

mines been gradually getting slower over the last few days, until today, where it has hit rock bottom. I'm in Quakers Hill though so must be a different issue. http://www.speedtest.net/result/794301010.png Oh another person from QH. I am on the same boat, network is way too slow in the prime time (...

Re: Everybody enjoying the last day of the month?

Looks like end of the month came few days earlier this time, network was literally unusable for me from 7pm onwards yesterday, Exetel speed test showed 512kbps, ADSL2 sync 16000/812kbps without any errors. Even youtube was timing out.

Re: ADSL2 Plan Changes

OK fine, I have used voip successfully with a previous ISP when shaped to 64k so would have thought 512k ample. You are right, 512k is ample - if there is nothing else on the line and ISP shaper is not active. But consider when you download 2mpbs of data traffic while shaped to 512kbps - shaper wil...

Re: ADSL2 Plan Changes

Can VOIP be port prioritsed out of the shapping limit? Would there be any point to that if shaped to 512k? Normally for voip you are constrained by your upload speed anyway so the difference is hardly anything. Shaper must be able to recognise VoIP packets and allow them to pass while shaping all o...

Re: Everybody enjoying the last day of the month?

.. and only perspective of being offline for two weeks is stopping me from it. 2 weeks? I had no sync for 3 weeks when I changed to Exetel naked dsl. It is a strong disincentive to jump ship again. :( I switched to Exetel last December from Optus DSL Direct, so literally had no downtime. But moving...

Re: Slow speed!

Always happens in the last day or two of the calendar month when people hurry to download all their remaining quotas. Get used to it.

Re: Everybody enjoying the last day of the month?

Yeah last two nights (and yesterday in particular) were a blast, pages timing out, maximum download speeds on Exetel speed test floating around 50KB/sec (400 kbps) on a 14mbps synced ADSL2+. Back to normal today, but still I don't consider this acceptable to be unable to use Internet the way I norma...

Re: Everybody enjoying the last day of the month?

Its only happening for the last three days or so, was perfectly fine before that, and only at the peak times, from about 8pm to 11:30-12pm Syd time. Its funny that it aligns with the sudden jump in the Exetel total combined bandwidth, look at the last (yearly) graph here: http://public.mrtg.exetel.c...

Re: Everybody enjoying the last day of the month?

this is a problem. Why? What you are exhibiting is issues of congestion, localised to some exchanges, limited to off-peak times (is this the case?; it certainly has been the case historically and you allude to it in your previous post) and contained to within the last few days of the month. I recko...

Re: Unable to dial voice mail

There is no diaplan on it at the moment - it just sends everything to the single provider. I just reset it to factory default and configured again - it works now, must have been a glitch. Thanks for the assistance.

Re: Unable to dial voice mail

well there is nothing really there... single sip provider, incoming and outgoing calls work fine, I even added "121" to "dial-now" so it wont have to wait for all digits..
