Re: ADSL2+ Dropout the whole weekend.

Internet has been reconnected by 5pm today, ADSL lights started blinking and internet connection recommenced. Told you it wasn't a fault on my side. However, it is annoying that Optus decided to disconnect me from their side without giving notice to either myself or Exetel tech support staff. Once ...

Re: Problems with ZTE H268A/bridged mode

I've made some progress I think, but still having an issue. To be clear I'm on FTTN. I've configured the ZTE in bridge mode (ethernet) and it connects fine. I've since got the Netgear D6200 configured as PPPoE and it has internet connection. It is connected from its 'Internet' port to a switch port...

Re: Modem and router all green, but no DSL link?

Hi Kavinda, I sent a PM on Monday. It seems to be sitting in my Outbox, but it also has a Sent date of Monday afternoon, so I am not sure what's going on. Can you drop an email to residentialsupport@exetel.com.au and provide the ticket reference number you have received ? Unfortunately, there is no...

Re: Inconsistent latency to game server

Lately I've been experiencing a lot of inconsistent latency to the Diablo III game server. I imagine it's all due to the increased utilization of the internet infrastructure thanks to the Covid-19 pandemic but still, kinda annoying :P Normally it's a consistent 35ms latency, but lately it's anywher...

Re: Ubuntu Mirror Not Updating

As per to the sysadmins response, Exetel has stopped keeping the linux distro updated since late 2019.

Customers need to change the source to resync or download the resource.

For further details, drop an email to hosting@exetel.com.au and they will provide feedback.

Re: OPENetworks fibre | Modem configuration issue

Hi, Yes, I've connected via PPPoE. I just tried to do it on "fibre box" device rather than router. From customer point of view it's a bit strange that you use 2 devices because fiber box device supports PPPoE\IPoE, VoIP and WiFi. Regards, Alex Hi Alex, Supplier has their own configuration a...

Re: Slow speed after line fault.

Over the weekend I reported a landline phone outage https://forum.exetel.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=289&t=45481 which was rectified on Tuesday. During the outage I still had ADSL, although at very slow speed (0.16 mbps). Now that the line fault has been rectified, ADSL speed has improved to around 2 Mb...

Re: Email accounts not visible in account. 2019 cert issue also

I am unable to see my email accounts in my exetel account. I did see a post where support had to do something on the back end to get them visible again in a users account. Also I have installed office 2019 and after a bit of searching i got it working with emails although i keep getting a certifica...

Re: Want to configure a 3CX softphone to mirror VOIP phone

Hi, I have a NetComm NF18ACV and a phone handset connected to 1 of the phone ports on the modem. I'm looking for a softphone to install on my laptop (Win10) that will mirror the handset. I've downloaded the 3CX application but can't get it to authenticate when using the SIP information provided by ...
