Marrickville 2204 Undercliffe speeds
Hi, I'm getting erratic ADSL1 speeds when my line & everything checks out according to Exetel after jumping through all the hoops. I used to be able to download between 800 kB/s and 1.6 MB/s and upload at about 80 kB/s. Now it's more like 200kB/s download, 50 kB/s upload with about 5% packet loss an...

Re: OCV200 do not send my number on PSTN calls
You can override the permanent CND status on a per call basis, by entering the override code 1832 before dialling a telephone number. There are some situations in which your phone number will be presented even if your CND is blocked or you have a silent number. Your phone number will always be prov...

OCV200 do not send my number on PSTN calls
I've spent about 2 hours trying to make my Billion 7401VGP-M router not send it's number when dialing via PSTN but I just can't work it out. It looks to me like it's impossible? Is this an option I can ask Exetel for? i.e. when I call people, I don't want the number to show in their caller ID. I cou...

Re: Forward VoIP calls to PSTN number
Hi, OK - I try again - 3rd time I ask this question, no response. Please can I have a response? Can I set up a call forward on my VoIP number back to my PSTN number, will this cost me money for each call, and if the PSTN line does not pick up can the VoIP answering service forward me messages via e...

port VoIP number to PSTN
Switching to #OCV200 can the VoIP number be ported to PSTN? Can a call forward be set up from VoIP to PSTN with no charge? Is there a way to retain the voice->email system via PSTN - i.e. if the PSTN line doesn't answer? (sorry in advance if this has been asked and answered - over 19 pages I couldn'...

10 pages
Hello, Could somebody at Exetel take some time to write up an FAQ so we can evaluate the OCV200[/x] plans without having to read through 10 pages of stuff (nice word) please? Here is what I understand of OCV200: 1) nothing changes about the internet plan. This means the static ip address is kept, it...

Re: ADSL2+ ANNEX M
I had annex-m with iiNet. It was better, but not as significantly faster as you might expect. Sacrificing annex-m for better pricing including a static IP (with iiNet you have to be a business customer +$30 per month for one!). For me the difference between slow upload and slightly less slow upload ...

Re: ADSL Plans/$10 - $25 Per Month Discounts
I spend something in the order of $65 for foxtel + iq + entertainment channels, 2x $50 or so with 3 for a 2 year contract that expires in 7 months that gave me a Nokia 2x E71, $50 or $60 (I forget) for extel naked ADSL2+ and probably somewhere near $30 per month on calls through that. My daughter us...

Re: ADSL2 Unlimited Plans (For Exetel Users Only)
We so need to clamp down on copyright infringement in Australia. It's a bit presumptuous to assume that the requirement to transfer large amounts of data can be somehow automatically assumed to imply copyright infringement. The vast majority of consumers these days would have high definition TVs an...

Re: ADSL2 Unlimited Plans (For Exetel Users Only)
We so need to clamp down on copyright infringement in Australia. The fact that you can break the law and get away with it doesn't make it right. Very few would have a reason to "need" an ulimited connection. I won't take you up on it, Exetel - even though my usage is reasonably high because I use my...

Cisco AnyConnect VPN
Cisco AnyConnect will log in, but then I can't get to anything on the other side of the VPN. The normal Cisco client works fine. Exact same anyconnect config works over my neighbor's connection.

Re: RTA1046VW - VOIP not working
I had problems last night. Here's roughly what happened: 1) couldn't find email from exetel with VoIP password 2) called exetel, support rep insisted that the only password was the ADSL password (?) 3) after some mucking around, called exetel back and insisted that ADSL password != VoIP password - t...
