My previous DLink 502T router gave trouble & died, & I haven't been able to use my account for months, although it's still paid current. I get as far as "Enter user name & password" OK, but then...

Re: Getting connected

Ta heaps Dazzled! I think I'm just about there. Not quite sure how, but doing the isolation test seemed to start things moving again.

Next question, how do I sort out & register my new email address? Where do I start?

Re: Getting connected

Sable:- thanks, correct. It was a typo in the above. Dazzled:- thanks also. I ran the cheat sheet:- 1 didn't get the "set password" panel. 2 proceeded - ok- but it "timed out" with the message "server 10.1.1.1 is taking too long to respond" after about 30 secs. This is on Firefox, Internet Explorer ...

Re: Recommend a Modem/Router

G'Day, I'm in process of signing up with Exetel at a Budget/entry level - not wireless. i'm wondering which modem to buy.
Has anybody had experience with entry - level Belkin models?
Any advice will be helpful , I'm not highly technical.
Thanks.
