Re: Optus blocks Android App Store -- Does Exetel's HSPA?

Access to paid apps, does that mean they are deliberately blocking free apps? I have just purchased a Google Nexus One from eBay and waiting for it to arrive hopefully this week. Never played with Android OS before so looking forward to it. Personally my first preference will be to access via WiFi ...

Re: Optus blocks Android App Store -- Does Exetel's HSPA?

Just wanted to let everyone know that vicbitter is right, Optus prevented access to paid apps through their SIM cards, and yes, Optus announced last week that they had enabled access to paid apps in the Andoid Marketplace: http://twitter.com/Optus/status/11062812547.

Re: Exetel MoIP

Tried this out over the weekend on an E63, I made some calls all good. Left the MOIP app running (not intensional) and noticed that about 7 hours later the phone was quite hot and battery was almost flat. Battery life on this phone is usually very good and it never gets hot. When I checked the usag...

Re: Exetel MoIP

Haven’t had a chance to play around with or test the app much today but from what I’ve seen it it’s pretty good! Setup was simple (accepted my SIP Number and Password for the call settings), and it registered straight away. It doesn’t seem to have any problems running on my e63. I did notice however...

+1 - I submitted a request for the beta version through my control panel, are those requests being responded to at the moment or is Exetel just waiting until the official application is out?

GPRS Usage rates

Hi, I received my WM-A SIM a few days ago and have been really happy with it, however I’ve got one question about GPRS data usage. What is the per-MB rate for my plan? There seems to be a few prices floating around on whirlpool and this site but I can’t tell which are correct :). If someone could le...

Mobile HSPA ordering question

Hi, I'm looking at getting the WM A Mobile HSPA plan for my E63 - however on the voice charges page it states the following: To be able to make mobile calls and send SMS via the Optus mobile network you must order an Exetel mobile telephone service at the time of ordering your HSPA service otherwise...
