Re: New 12 months contract when changing plan
I really can't understand the reason for this policy. 1. I want to pay you for a more expensive service each month 2. I am willing to re-contract I would think this is the kind of thing companies usually strive for but with exetel at the moment you have to pay $20 to do so. If I renew on the same pl...

Re: Residential Trial: Unshape your DSL service - purchase G
This is a good addition. Personally, I probably prefer the old old way (where you could just elect to pay the excess when you went over) for my usage. However, I can see that some people would want a greater level of certainty about their bill. Perhaps a solution that would provide the best of both ...

Re: Additional Plans
In most cases there would be higher download limits or faster plans available than an existing user has now, any new plans upcoming might improve on the offers but it doesn't mean there are no options available now understand your frustration but even if a new plan were available straight away it w...

Re: Price Increase For Out Of Contract Customers - Continued
I think you might find that the PAYU plans have been added to allow for the low end users, any other offer that was suggested I think was pending Optus agreeing to support it so it wasn't a sure thing Possibly, would be good to have it confirmed from Forum Admin or other staff member though. As mos...

Re: Price Increase For Out Of Contract Customers - Continued
Hi Is the $50 OCV 10 GB plan still being contemplated? Did a quick scan and search and couldn't see any recent comment from Exetel - apologies if I missed it. I guess the problem for Exetel is that offering the 10GB plan may make the 200GB plan a big loss maker as the pricing must require a lot of l...

Mobile cap plans
Hi In regards to your mobile cap plans, these are all very good value but I don't see the point of offering as a bundle as you effectively get the same discount without contract by ordering separately. Also, the cap 19 and cap 14 plans are effectively the same price once you take into account the AD...

Re: Price Increases For Out Of Contract Customers
Again, I remain puzzled as to why anyone thinks paying 10 cents for a VoIP call is somehow an advantage over paying zero for a PSTN call. It's not but I guess I was assuming it costs Exetel more for the pstn calls than I pay for voip and that those costs must be passed onto customers in some way an...

Re: Price Increases For Out Of Contract Customers
We could look at a $50.00 plan with 10 gb of downloads and with the included free local, national and calls to Optus mobiles. I don't know why you say the free calls would be on no use to you - they are free - and they don't affect your inbound arrangements if you really want to stay with another V...

Re: Price Increases For Out Of Contract Customers
You could well be right. We will look at something like that or a simple PAYU plan for each service type. If you could do this and offer a profitable service I think that would be ideal for many. Is this likely to occur before decisions customers are required to decide about the naked ADSL upgrade ...

Re: Off Peak Periods
David R If you go I guess that means you won't be making your sometimes confusing, sometimes insulting, sometimes threatening posts? (At least that's how I read them) If so I'm sure they will be sorely missed. You seem to have an expectation that any suggestion you make should be automatically taken...

Re: Naked users forgotten?
ouch. That adds $8/month to the 12 month contract (granted, one has to expect some sort of "sunk" provisioning cost). What about transferring from ONx to the new OTFree-x bundles? - It doesn't matter. Our supplier charges us a once off activation fee in preparing the un-used copper pair for telepho...

Re: New ADSL2 Plan - Free
Hi, Currently on ONA Naked plan $43. When I signed up my plan was about $10 cheaper than the equivalent ADSL2 with phone plan when you added in phone line. Now they are same price and the with phone plan comes with more downloads so am considering moving over. Wife also has a $19 mobile cap plan fro...

Re: New Mobile Plans (13/10/10)
Yes I've recently just signed up for a mobile plan (on similar rates without the discounts but with included handset) so didn't get the shock you did. For me it was about the cheapest way to get the phone and data usage I wanted and the cost is spread over 2 years. Sad that this type of marketing ha...

Re: New Mobile Plans (13/10/10)
Holy over-reactions dbryar!! Sounds like you need to take a chill pill. If you don't like it don't buy it but when you take all the discounts into account I think these are pretty good deals. The $35 plan which costs you $20 after the $15 discount gets you 131 calls versus 59 calls on the per minute...
