Blackberry Plans

I see that your Blackberry plans are up on your website: http://www.exetel.com.au/residential-mobile-cap-plans.php#blackberry_plans No mention of contract periods or activation fees on the order forms yet but can you give an indication of what they'll be since I'm keen to sign up. And would it be po...

Re: Looking Glass Server?

Thanks for that. I remember googling "exetel" and "looking glass" several months ago (or was it last year?) and don't recall getting any result. Or I just didn't search properly. Anyway, good stuff :)

Looking Glass Server?

Has Exetel ever considered setting up a Looking Glass server or even just a traceroute tool from within your network? Re: Include the ADSL savings on the CAP plans on the webpage

I can't see that info displayed anywhere except INSIDE member services. In the order forms, the discounts have been replaced by "3 months FREE": https://www.exetel.com.au/transfer/residential_transfer_form.php https://www.exetel.com.au/adsl2_full_bundle/residential_online_form.php So I assume the A...

Re: Three Months Free ADSL

The 'free offer' has been increased to three months and the new activation charge has been reduced from $40.00 to $20.00. Just a couple of questions. 1) When are the free months applied? I assume for the first 3 months? 2) What happens if a customer cancels before the end of the contract and pays t...

Re: Three Months Free ADSL

1) $39.50 ADSL rental inc 10/10 gb, inc PSTN telephone line with low call costs Since this has a bit less quota than OT20 which has 20gb/20gb and is also $39.50, I assume we are to expect another round of plan changes soon? And will any of these offers apply to Telstra-only exchanges? Internode jus...

Re: Three Months Free ADSL

At the moment, I don't think Exetel's Optus plans are that attractive to people who are relocating (and looking for a new ISP at the same time) due to the active phone line requirement. It currently costs $199 ($159 to activate line through telstra + $40 activation fee) to sign up to an Exetel Optus...

Plan Change Fee Reduction

Hi.

My brother applied for a plan change on Sunday and was billed earlier today for $40. He just noticed that the plan change fee has now gone down to $20. Is there a way for him recover the $20 more that he had to pay or is he out of luck? His service number is 0263524534.

Thanks.

Re: New ADSL1 plans vs existing plans

We thought the new plans were extremely well priced. They are only priced that low because the carrier is providing incentives (that allow the low cost of the plan to be offered). They are. They're actually so good that most, if not all, of your current customers on Telstra hardware will want to sw...

Re: New ADSL1 plans vs existing plans

Yes, you have to transfer your telephone line rental/calls to Exetel - the call costs are almost certainly lower cost than your current provider so it shouldn't disadvantage you in any way - your calls should cost you less. For someone on Telstra's $20.95 Homeline Budget who primarily uses either V...

Re: ADSL Plans/$10 - $25 Per Month Discounts

I have a question regarding switching from one of your vodafone plans. If I order this and activate mid-month, I assume both monthly fees (for the old vodafone plan and the new optus plan) will be adjusted pro-rata? Will I also get a pro-rata ADSL discount for that month for the new Optus plan? Than...

Re: Price Increase For Out Of Contract Customers - Continued

If you upgrade to the OCV plans and move within the contract there will be no charge, but it means the contract period will be reset to the date you've moved to your new place. You might want to correct the FAQ with this information. https://forum.exetel.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=37470#p286319 Q16...

Re: Price Increase For Out Of Contract Customers - Continued

I am one of the "Out of contract customers" on old Z/20NOTEL Naked ADSL plan being offered to move to the new Optus plan OCV200. My question is will I still be able to continue the current "Add On" Bonus Packs like VP4 - 50 minutes of VOIP Mobile calls for $5.00 per month to the new OCV200 plan ? I...
