I regularly look on adsl2exchanges.com.au to see if there are any ports available on the exchange to allow me access to ADSL2, which I know is available because my next door neighb...

I look forward to seeing what speed I achieve after the small issue is resolved. I was really happy after I found out that after changing a WiFi configuration on my modem my internet speed increased 100 fold. It will be interesting to see what happen next...

Tec9 - Not sure if this will help, I had been experiencing intermitant internet speed for some time now and just put it down to Telstra Copper wire network even after upgrading my Modem. After upgrading to ADSL2 this week and still no speed increase I thought about doing some additions self testing ...
