Re: Three Months Free ADSL

There are a number of posts sprinkled around these forums that comment on such downtime. Most of them state how the downtime, if it existed, was not noticeable. The posts you linked appear to refer to the early transfers from powertel to optus. At those times, there were no claims of zero downtime,...

Re: Three Months Free ADSL

Not sure if there are people who still wish to take up the offer that are reading this threads. I would like to point out, that just I thought, this "zero downtime" claim is untrue. My transfer date is scheduled to be today, and I woke up to find that the ADSL line sync is lost. By dialing 12711, I ...

Re: Three Months Free ADSL

Also, what happens if the name on the phone line is different from my Exetel ADSL account? How would I proceed with that? You can either change the ownership of the phone line, or the ADSL. If you change the ADSL ownership, then there's a cost of $25 from Exetel as I was told. If you are getting th...

Re: Three Months Free ADSL

Is this true?. Yes. So just to confirm, for those 15 working days (is this still the case?) it supposed to take to transfer from AAPT to Optus, ADSL connection will not be interrupted at all. On the day when the telephone line is switched to Optus, there will be no need to even restart the modem, a...

Re: Three Months Free ADSL

Just received an email from Exetel regarding the transfer from AAPT to Optus, with the claim below: "By applying for one of the above Optus ADSL2+ plans you will be transferring away from the AAPT infrastructure and onto the Optus infrastructure. It is also mandatory you transfer your telephone line...

Re: No internet, no ADSL2, no VOIP & no PPP light

Maybe it's a good idea to do a factory reset as well. I remember that it didn't work for me the 1st go, when I just let the modem to reboot by itself. I backed up the settings, then do a factory reset, enter the authentication details with VCMUX, it worked. Changed to LLC, didn't work. Changed back,...

Re: No internet, no ADSL2, no VOIP & no PPP light

I had similar problem on Wednesday. This morning, I was told to change to PPPoA VCMUX, and it worked. I've always been using LLC all these years, and it was the recommended setting. Both LLC and VCMUX works before as far as I remember, now only VCMUX work. A good thing that comes out of this, is tha...
