Re: VoIP Plan decommissioning

Thanks for the suggestion. However, at up to 4x the rates of calls, plus the inconvenience not being able to use the service abroad, doesn't make it a viable option for me.

I did however find an service from PennyTel that gives me what I want, no monthly fee at slightly higher rates.

Re: VoIP Plan decommissioning

I'm in the category (one of the 000's I assume) that only use VoIP for expensive calls, i.e. international calls to landlines/mobiles. Since I only call internationally from time to time, I find it upsetting that I am now forced to pay $5/month for the service. I dont care about DID. Please make a $...

Re: Torrent traffic shaping?!?

Thanks for the suggestions guys. I don't think that the router (Netgear WNDR3700) is the issue as it is about one year old. Torrent traffic shaping?!?

I'm not sure if this is a known issue, but lately I've been experiencing what seems to be torrent shaping. During on-peak (a few minutes ago), when starting downloading content via the torrent protocol, the speed would slowly increase until it would max out my line speed, and then all of a sudden it...

Re: OTAW offpeak throttled... why?

I've been experiencing the same issue. Noticed this about a week ago. Always maxed out my connection (1.4 MB/s) offpeak and now I get throttled at around 250 KB/s for the first couple of hours offpeak. After that it seems to be a little more relaxed but nowhere near unthrottled speeds. See screensho...
