Availability of Optus at Nambour
Gday all, wasnt sure where to ask these questions and ended up deciding here was, so If Im wrong forgive me. I believe Im on the Nambour Exchange 4560 (I live just outside of town so it makes sense to me that I am), last I checked we only had access to Telstra based plans as no-one else had the equi...

Re: Usage meter up the spout for new billing cycle.
We cannot duplicate the error you found. When you click the search button, it willl lead you to the full date of usage search. Which date did you take the screenshot? You can email your service number to raymondl @ exetel.com.au. We will check for you. All screencaps were made at the time of the po...

Re: Usage meter up the spout for new billing cycle.
Maybe its me, but I still see no change in either FF or Opera. I have attached 2 screencaps to show what Im asking for, and the message I get using what is available now. Missing date field. As you can see, while there are 2 date fields for the day, there is only one selectable field for the month. ...

Re: Usage meter up the spout for new billing cycle.
No, its still the same. I tried both Opera and FF. Still tells me there is no data to display using the main page, or in the detailed page it says the start date is later than the end date (28th of month 1, to 27th of month 2). I cleared my cache in Opera and no change. Ive never used FF for the sit...

Usage meter up the spout for new billing cycle.
Not sure if its just overlooked or another reason, but has anyone noticed the usage meter in the members section is up the spout for those on the new billing cycle? I mean it works but isnt accurate due to the configuration. I can change the start and end dates (day), but only within the same month,...

Re: Off Peak Allowances
I agree - for over seven years Exetel has not resorted to this silliness. However, other people in the company have to be allowed to have their say and they are convinced staying with my old fashioned and straightforward approaches are no longer valid. We will see what happens. They are idiots. If ...

Re: Price Increase For Out Of Contract Customers - Continued
Im just considering options here, but can someone explain the difference between ADSL2 (keep your existing PTSN) and ADSL2 such as A60 (No telephone)? I thought the 1st was Exetel Internet and keep my existing phone provider for phone services, but the second suggests the same thing as in Exetel pro...

Re: Price Increase For Out Of Contract Customers - Continued
Not entirely true. I was on my first 6 month contract period, still am for 1 month, and have been paying the additional $3 admin charge for most of the period.Affinity wrote:gong_guy wrote: The latter is good to lock in the plan for 12 months, ie, no more price changes. In either case, it is zero cost plan change.

I mask selectively. It's not many sites in practice, and you soon find them - usually, surprisingly, sites under the control of "professionals", like banks, insurance companies, and newspapers. Pretty well always all-Microsoft shops. Now that IE is coming into line this problem will pass. Enjoy the...

Re: Is it worth it for me?
Opera in most respects is the one the others try to keep up with. The attraction to me is its massive user configurability, feature list, and ease of running user scripts and style sheets. Opera is fully compliant with the web standards. Unfortunately a lot of sites are written to favour the non-co...

Re: Is it worth it for me?
Those modem tests were done using ADSL1 frequencies. ADSL2 uses higher frequencies, but I like a better than average 14 dB attenuation. You are only a bit over 2 km from the exchange, and that huge 30 dB noise margin caused by capping can be whittled away to a minimum, to give respectable (8k plan ...

Re: Is it worth it for me?
Well that didnt help. Thanks though. The estimate section is blank. ADSL1 and 2 active, and available now, but the estimate column is blank. Tried in Opera, Firefox and Explorer. I probably around 1-2 kms from the exchange as the crow flies. Put your address in in order to get estimate of distance ...
