Thanks

Re: Optus smtp suddenly not working
Thanks for the reply.
Here’s a screen shot of the smtp settings.
No idea why there are so many mail.optusnet.au listed. I certainly didn’t add them!

Optus smtp suddenly not working
I can’t send emails. I have an Exetel SIM which I assume is still driven by Optus? I have always used the Optus smtp setting: mail.optusnet.com.au Used this for years no problems. Suddenly not working. I’ve tried adding: smtp.optusnet.com.au Still no luck. Receiving mail & internet both good. On sen...

Re: Forwarding email AND retain on server possible?
Thanks HashiniA Yeah - I've done that my end thru Eudora. I was just hoping I could do it server end - a little less messy. Not to worry Now if I could only get email to work on my new LG-P716 phone working so I didn't have do this silly forwarding...but that's another problem & possibly another pos...

Forwarding email AND retain on server possible?
I setup my email to be forwarded to GMail thru the Exetel Members Facilities, not realising that results in emails being deleted from the Webmail server.
Is there a way to overcome this, ie forward email but retain on webmail?
Thanks

Re: NETGEAR Security Log [53:d9:e1]
Many thanks for that. Just one of those things I guess. Can't access Telnet commands as suggested in your post, obviously entering incorrect data in the cmd box. Used to know a little about that stuff ages ago - unfortunately all forgotten now. Not to worry - no more reports of being probed by China...

NETGEAR Security Log [53:d9:e1]
I have just been inundated with the below security alerts. Does this mean someone is trying to hack into my system? Is it something to be concerned about or is it just a one off & my router has done it's job & told whoever it is to bugger off?! So as to attempt to get my head around this weirdness, ...

Re: voicemail service
Hi It's not that old -only 1 day!! It's a Samsung GT-B2710 & the settings are as per Exetel's instructions. As mentioned the settings work - I tested them both times - but somehow they stopped working of their own accord - the first time. All are still working from yesterdays re activating. The othe...

voicemail service
I set up my voicemail service a year ago. Tested it - it worked. Just today discovered it was no longer working due to me not receiving important expected voicemails. This is extremely annoying & I'd love to find out how it could have been turned off - all 3 of them. ie when busy; when turned off; w...

Re: Ghost numbers appearing
Thanks for that.
I actually rang Exetel support when first noticed. He said they'll get back to me.
That was about 3-4 days ago. I'll try the email support as you suggest
Cheers
Peter

Ghost numbers appearing
Not sure if Ghost numbers is the correct term, but I have random numbers appearing on my Exetel Mobile account & now on my handset. No way could I have called them, no idea where they came from. First random numbers appeared when I was trying out my new Exetel "Yes Optus" SIM on my wife's SciPhone b...

HSPA compliant handsets
Hi I recently changed to the new OT-Special 1 plan which includes the Mobile CAP 19 plan. I'll need a new handset for the SIM which eventually comes with this plan. I assume I need a handset which is compliant with the HSPA network? (Whatever that is...) This is even though I was assured by Exetel t...
