Re: Changing Wholesaler

Sorry to Hi-jack this thread JJDisco I am currently in the same position as you wanting to change to the Telstra network. When I first signed up to Exetel I had to have a Telstra number which I did but now I know I'm on the Optus network because of the lack in performance and My Exetel account has i...

I have been with Exetel for a long period of time and never had to complain about my service as I know the condition of the distance from my location and the Exchange but of recently this service has been below sub-standard and I really do want this looked at. Can some one look into why since the NS...

Any help please? Cheers ...

Re: Slow Speeds in the Evenings

Dazzled, I totally understand the telstra line point. When you said = On that score, Theje can read your present line status from the exchange end, and isn't convinced it's normal. That may be something at your end. Do you have extra line filters behind the central filter for example (a no-no)? When...

Re: Slow ADSL2+ Cardiff Exchange

Going of the adsl2exchanges web site yes that is correct and pretty much what my stat in the dsl2740b state's.
14dB's / km is 50dB @ 3.6km
I dont think I can do any thing more that will improve the speed except move to coffs harbour or armidale where they are running fibre optics . NO thanks.

Re: Slow ADSL2+ Cardiff Exchange

I have a Thor power board that has the adsl line running through it which I thought would not effect it but I tried it bypassed and I did gain a 1.5dbB reduction in the Attenuation reading. Only negative is the the modem is not protected against power surge if it happens. Speed wise is still the sam...
