Re: cannot call optus number in Dubbo

Also calling other mobile numbers from my home wireline is just fine. Just my mother's mobile in Dubbo is the problem. But, she has good signal and she can receive calls fine from my mobile. She can also make outgoing calls just fine to everyone but my wireline.

cannot call optus number in Dubbo

Hi, I have a strange problem. My mother ported her vodafone number to savvytel so I can use my free minutes to call her when she is in Dubbo (I am in Sydney). I can call her just fine using my exetel mobile. But when I call her with either VOIP or my phone line (not through router - straight out of ...

Re: calling exetel voip numbers from moip get busy signal

I cannot make calls directly because I have a data-only sim card.

I just tried calling 02-8030-1000 -- exetel's helpdesk from my mobile moip and it worked fine. But, I still cannot call my home voip. Strange isn't it?

Re: calling exetel voip numbers from moip get busy signal

OK I tried that. Didn't seem to have any effect. I still get the "the person at # is unavailable" message. I seem to get it really fast, a split second after I click dial, before it even starts ringing. I don't know if that helps at all.

Re: calling exetel voip numbers from moip get busy signal

btw when calling from my PC, I only have the g711 codec. I've tried disabling the g729 codec on my mobile and just use the g711, but I still get the same error message.

calling exetel voip numbers from moip get busy signal

I have a strangle problem. I have google nexus s mobile phone with exetel mobile broadband plan and all is very good. I use the CSipSimple application with g729 codec and i set g711 as secondary. If I make MOIP calls to mobile numbers, to 121 etc, then everything is perfect. But when I try to call m...

Re: super slow upload speeds

Yes I have already done that a long time ago.. and you also replied. Any news on this issue by any chance?

If the upload was say, 150 kbps I would be able to make calls .. if it's a signal issue, why do I get 1000 kbps for downlink but only 40 for uplink?

Re: super slow upload speeds

well I was at UNSW yesterday, and strangely the upload speed was just fine there. when i got back home to Pyrmont, it became slow again. at USYD on 1 Cleveland street, and around the city it was always slow. Why would it be fast at UNSW? I was definitely still running 3G.

Here they are as well.

Re: super slow upload speeds

well I am out of ideas.. according to that article, it was something in the AT&T network. could Exetel have done the same thing? with this slow upload I can't do MOIP at all, whereas before it worked fine with this very same phone.
