How to change from Added Value plan to No Frills plan?
I am currently on the INC2DSLF plan. ($15.00 $110.00 60 gbytes 85 gbytes $3.00) I would assume changing from this plan to the NF/23IncTel would be easily done from the members area. But it seems it cannot be done? I wanted to change it for next month's plan. (got 2 days to change it I guess) Was won...

Re: Questions on my ADSL2+ plan.
There is one more option that was on my mind. Possibly moving to different ISP/Plan as my contract just ended.
But I just wanted to know my options / best procedures and how long the downtime will be.
But I'm not sure if I can afford to have around 10-14days downtime. So that's stopping me the most.

Re: Questions on my ADSL2+ plan.
Oh. Thanks for that info. So which is the right step to do first? 1. Should I cancel all of my ADSL2+/Phone service with Exetel first? (But will this disconnect my phone line from all providers?) 2. Can I cancel "just" the internet and not the phone line with Optus? (so that telstra can switch it fo...

Questions on my ADSL2+ plan.
I'm currently on the following plan which is phoneline + internet and not on a contract: Plan Type: INC2DSLF Monthly Access Charge: $125.00 If I wanted to move my phoneline to back to Telstra: 1. How do I go about doing this? (seems free to switch to Telstra) 2. What are the outcome of my internet s...

Super slow PS3 connection.
I can download on my PC up to around 1.8MB/sec. But my PS3 takes about 2-3 hours for 100MB download right now. My PS3 downloaded at over 1MB/sec before. Not now. It's been a few months like this... I've made sure it's not my router. Well, I never even made changes when it slowed down anyways. But al...

I couldn't find my very first invoice. But I noticed that I joined this forum at "Mon Apr 19, 2004 8:21 pm". So I guess it's around then when I joined.

Re: New ADSL Plans For July 1st 2009
I'm a kind of user who would pay up to $140 for ADSL2+phone. I'm sure there are few out there like me.
So I would love to see higher download plans such as 100gb peak... or like 150gb no peak/offpeak plan..

Re: The Exetel 5-year club
I've also churned from Swiftel to Exetel back in the day. Have referred around 20 people to Exetel of which around 14 of them actually went through the referal bonus. =) I even received 6 months free internet due to referring over 10 people. Even now, I can't find any better ISP. Now that's a feat i...

Re: Real End To Internet Copyright Theft?
Some gain, some lose from pirate activity. It acts as marketing to many. Eg. celebrity figures due to more exposure. 1. Buying/Selling second hand stuff software/game is as bad as pirating imo. * Example in games industry: - A game gets sold for $119. Sony gets a share. But then, it gets put back on...

Re: shocking speeds for money
I noticed that the graph increased from 1800mbps to 2000mbps yesterday. And I can see that the flat point is now higher also. Has the capacity been increased? I didn't notice any significant increase, but it did become slightly faster after this. (Well, for single thread stuff, it's still not how it...

Re: bloody slow d/ling tonight
It's due to everyone busily downloading while their download limit just got reset on the 1st. https://www.exetel.com.au/members/a_mrtg_trafic_internet_4.php BTW, it was very fast this morning at 6am. I know coz I was awake at 6am. But right now, for some things, it's unuseable. Nothing we can do rea...

Re: Youtube on ADSL2+
It's because MRTG graph is so flat at its peak. (makes even my downloads slow to a crawl) Single threaded downloads / streaming of videos becomes very slow when this happens. https://www.exetel.com.au/members/a_mrtg_trafic_internet_4.php It's fine when Exetel's capacity isn't so maxed out. (like thi...

Questions on first month payment/bandwidth.
Hi, I just joined and my phone/ADSL2+ got activated yesterday with Exetel.
Now, do I get charged the full monthly amount for this "partial" month?
Or do I only pay the 2 weeks left in this month? (and does billing cycle start 1st of every month?)
If I only pay partial, what about my download limit?

Re: New Customer Referral Scheme
I signed up yesterday to both phone and ADSL2+ yesterday with my friend's referral phone number. (exetel user)
So he won't get anything for his referral?
