Re: Price Increases For Out Of Contract Customers
Apart from my own account, I look after a couple of others for family and friends, and I see different plans available when I log into the User Facilities for each of them and select Change Service. For two of them, only some ADSL2 and Naked plans are offered. I have some questions: 1. Can we change...

Re: IP Address change - Discussion
1. Yes, you can do that at any time from Thursday on 2. It takes effect immediately. You will need to disconnect/reconnect your circuit for your modem to pick up the new IP address. Turning your modem off and on will do that. 3. You mean your old IP address? Yes. Re point 3 - no, was referring to t...

Re: IP Address change - Discussion
An update has been made in the User Faculties area - if you have been flagged for an IP address change, now when you select the 'change IP address' feature in the user area, your IP address will be changed to the new range. This is to allow people who what to make the change at a different time to ...

Re: the new changes to download times
Branching off on a slight tangent, I was on the midnight-midday off-peak period which has now changed to 2am-midday. Can I change to a 2pm-2am off-peak period, or have I missed the boat?

[SOLVED] NB5Plus4W port forwarding not working
It appears this issue has been solved, the modem/router worked fine all of last week with no port forwarding problems, so it seems the 'problem' was that ports are only forwarded when the target PC is online. I initially configured the unit from another PC while the server was offline, so couldn't u...

Re: NB5Plus4W port forwarding not working
OK, have upgraded firmware to 2.A10NCT14.8367A ( from 2.A10NCT13.8367A) but the operation is still the same (no explanation on Netcomm's website as to what the changes are). Also tried ipconfig with /release and then /renew switches (following modem reset after server was booted up) but made no diff...

Re: NB5Plus4W port forwarding not working
Yes, sounded strange to me as well. I've just reset the modem and tried both 'ipconfig /renew' and repairing the network connection, several times, but ports remain closed (GRC's ShieldsUp test showed all common ports stealthed) and access attempts time out. As soon as the target is rebooted the for...

Re: NB5Plus4W port forwarding not working
Have figured out (I hope) what's been happening with this modem. It seems that port forwarding will only work when ports are forwarded to an IP address taken from the DHCP pool and then 'reserved'. Doesn't work if the PC is already configured with a static IP address. Another 'gotcha' is that port f...

Re: NB5Plus4W port forwarding not working
Thanks Corey, should have also mentioned that I already have a D-Link DSL-G604T hooked up and working fine with port forwarding. The Netcomm was purchased mainly to be a backup but if I can't get it working guess will have to take it back and get something else.

NB5Plus4W port forwarding not working
Is there any trick to get port forwarding to work with this unit? I have set it to forward web and FTP traffic to my server - they're both in the applied rules but the ports remain closed (ports 21 and 80 stealthed according to GRC's Shieldsup and I cannot connect from within my LAN or from outside,...

Hi
I just checked the http://www.adsl2exchanges.com.au site and it indicates that Matraville exchange is 'active'. Does this mean that ADSL2 is now available? And does switching from ADSL1 to ADSL2 involve a change of static IP address?
tks
Joe
