Re: Change IP address only switches between 2 IP addresses

OK, crisis is averted

my hosting provider allows me to unblock my IP address

so it's no longer a huge issue

but I AM curious about why the IP address change only flips between 2 IP address - it should not count as 2 IP address changes given I'm back to my original IP address

Change IP address only switches between 2 IP addresses

I had to change my IP address because my hosting/email provider decided to block my IP address. (I tried to install a new email client which must have done something bizarre to the email server which resulted in my IP being blocked) I only realised that this was the case when I tried re-installing t...

Re: New Plans!

It seems that new plans are available to me with the new 'dashboard'

Am I correct or is it a glitch I the matrix?

edit: never mind, it's a glitch with my interpretation of "orders"

Happy birthday Exetel. Everyone celebrates except existing customers :(

Re: New plans for old

WHERE? I think every user's member facilities will show different options for the plan change depending on the infrastructure your service is on (Telstra, AAPT, Optus). Mine shows an explicit column for "Contract Length" for the available plans. Perhaps try the residential sales phone number on (02...

Re: New plans for old

Yes, you would have a new contract. Thank you FINALLY! This information is avaialble in your members area. WHERE? It's certainly NOT spelled out clearly here that a change incurs a NEW contract: https://www.exetel.com.au/members/change_service_plan.php In fact, Total Minimum Cost for ADSL1/2+ over ...

Re: New plans for old

Hi, I'm wanting to go from 200GB to 500GB, but I see there are new plans about - only available to new customers right now I'm "out of contract" for the 200GB, so I'm wanting to know if I switch to 500GB, will I be under a new contract, therefore making a switch to the newer, better, unlimited plan...

Re: Recent dropouts in Kellyville NSW

I only hear the static if I pick up the phone just after the internet drops out - same with the "crossed line" voices

I have not had a dropout since I reported this fault and the Exetel CSE 'tested' the line

Can I cancel the ticket online?

Re: Recent dropouts in Kellyville NSW

OK so I reported a fault on Monday, over the phone, because over the weekend, after a couple of dropouts I plugged in a phone into the phone line and heard static, then, on Monday, I heard two people having a conversation! Crossed line? Now I'm getting an SMS every day telling me the issue will be l...
