Re: Where are the network graphs?

Best thing for you to do is to send me an email with your details and I will get this investigated as an individual case...
Hi Thejug,

I did indeed message you on the forums on April 28th, no reply as yet.

Can you please reply if you have followed this up.

Many thanks

Re: Where are the network graphs?

Fair enough if Exetel doesn't wish to publish MRTG charts on their own proprietary backhauls. Would it be also then fair to ask if you could please comment on the SMH Netflix article. We have also experienced a (anecdotal nonetheless) slowdown in recent days/week or two, with no other explanation ov...

Re: The Exetel 5-year club

Welcome back Exetel!

Well, it's been touch and go for a while, but we're back. We first got Exetel in April 2004 - as it launched, with ADSL, then ADSL2+ in the Glebe, NSW exchange. It was also blisteringly fast (800m from the exchange helps). We then added wireless because of some work related travels. It's always work...

Re: ADSL2 Plan Changes

This sounds good, but do you mind if I ask why? From what I previously understood, shaping represented a pain in the arse for exetel to manage, and excess what simply a lot easier. The excess charges were the lowest on the market and clearly stated (i thought, at least), such that people didn't get ...

Re: SMS from Outlook 2007

Has anyone continued with this??? Using the API manual, I have a very simple form in MS Outlook which seems to work. It needs a whole bunch of error checking (for instance, you can set the sender to whatever you like and it will still work, and it doesn't check for unicode characters). Basically it ...

The Exetel 5-year club

Just a quick note to say that 5 years and two weeks ago, my ADSL1 service with Exetel was activated (April 14th, 2004). I was 15 months on ADSL1 then since then on ADSL2+ plus phone.

Our first invoice was Exetel's number 0000000865. They are now on E0002085159.

Just as happy since day one.

Re: Minimum activity

Thanks!

I read that clause when I signed up, but I couldn't find it again just now in the T's and C's.

I'll make sure I keep it active.

Minimum activity

I have a HSPA modem on a $5/month plan. We have been using lately, but we also have ADSL2+ at home, and only need it when travelling.

I have no immediate travel plans. Will the service be cancelled if it doesn't get any use for a month or so?

Thanks

TTL Expired in Transit

Hi all, I'm currently at work, trying to ping my home connection, with the following results: I left the house this morning and the modem was working, but I guess it may have crashed since. Credit Card payments are ok, and I haven't received an email for an account block for any other violation. Any...

I've been looking for an Exetel offering in Perth, but some of hte Perth exchanges are very full, with no hope of any new ports in a while.

Who will Exetel use to provide ADSL2+ in perth. If it is still Optus back to the perth POP, then I'm still unable to join.

Just interested?

Exetel have said about 6 servers are going down this week - each for 2 short and 1 long period.

Is it a major linux upgrade rollout, or is there a new security patch that the rest of us (minor linux users) should know?

Anyway to combine VOIP and Fax-receive on the one DID? That's exactly what I had with 2 other providers last year. I don't know why that can't be done by Exetel. I'll look into it. I have set this up in the past. It sounds like Exetel is using a VoIP Softswitch for their VoIP and Asterisk for their...
