Warning email: 67% used at rollover???
Clearly this is a mistake. Even in my member area, I have only just tipped 100GB for December so I cannot possibly have got to 337GB in a few hours (my allowance is 500GB) Especially since I have been asleep. However, I would be seriously p'd off if the system started capping my speed if I do happen...

Re: Next trick: Cancel ADSL
Brilliant! Just got a text to say its activated, all good, its showing properly in my account now, so I will look forward to email confirmation in the next couple of days, as well as some kind of recognition that I need to be reimbursed some (would be nice if that could be applied to the first bill ...

Thanks again, the ticket number appears to be [Your ticket number is - #11317615#] The autoresponder said they would reply within 2 days, but if you can get them to respond sooner, that would be excellent

Re: Next trick: Cancel ADSL
Thank you for the feedback. :) You may have to drop an email from your nominated email address to provisioning@exetel.com.au requesting the both pro rated and the cancellation of the previous ADSL. You can call and request them during the business hours. Billing system works as the same. 14th of ea...

Next trick: Cancel ADSL
Thanks to KavidaS and exetel, my NBN is now going swimmingly.
However I have no idea who to get to cancel the ADSL I no longer need to have? Can a rep on here do that for me and organise pro rated reimbursement of moneys paid today for ADSL?
Also, how does billing work on NBN? Same as on ADSL?

Re: New Question: Login info, settings etc
Thanks for that info. but, once its activated, I will be cut off from ADSL and so (in theory) unable to receive any email regarding login and settings... is this what will happen? Also, "should" receive is not really as encouraging as *will* receive. Why am I unable to have the information prior to ...

New Question: Login info, settings etc
My NBN service is due to be activated tomorrow, according to an email sent a couple of weeks ago. I have had no further information sent to me. I have not bought the Exetel supplied modem and I need login info, settings etc. to put into my self-bought Netcomm NF17ACV VDSL modem.

When do we get the modem?
I have been sent an email with an "appointment" for NBN connection on March 1st. I have not been informed about when the modem will arrive. Will I be informed of its imminent arrival or will I just have to hope to be home in order to receive it? [edit] Also, who is this "upstream provider" referred ...

Re: Suddent Drop in Download Speeds: ADSL2+
Email received. A little disappointed that I have to do the tests I have already done. Does it *really* matter if I test at Speedtest.net rather than speedtest.exetel? Its the same service with your branding. The shell script stalled after trying to traceroute to google and would go no further. But,...

Suddent Drop in Download Speeds: ADSL2+
Having read some of the others I guess I should be grateful for what I have. However, to drop from a fairly reliable 13.8Mbps to something between 2.5 and 4-5Mbps is a bit of a shock. I rang support earlier, and the representative to whom I spoke asked the relevant questions which I answered (though...

Re: Anti Piracy Scheme the govt is implementing
I'd imagine that Exetel won't have a choice. The federal government is going to force the issue with all ISPs, and although they say its not about piracy, its about security, I would challenge that. I've subscribed to both Netflix AU/US/UK (with uFlix), and Stan (I won't touch Presto, its as patheti...

Re: Who to contact in relation to new addition to phone serv
Your number is a silent number, but with regards to info on the latter (callerID/calling number display active) I have forwarded this query to our Provisioning team under the same reference number as above. We will let you know once they confirm this. Do let us know if this is not what you want don...
