I have a mobile plan but when I try to log into my account it tells me I haven't (still works ok though), I have just changed address etc. and have a new net plan i.e.went from ADSL2+ to ADSL, maybe the phone plan got left behind somewhere ?? Re: Modification To 'Shaping' Option
I'm a bit confused re the get out of gaol option email that was sent out re shaping etc., does this apply back to when the shaping was originally introduced or just to the adjustments the other day, a bit ambiguous. The intention would be that early termination fees may be waived if you joined whil...

I will be unfortunately, because where I'm going to you don't supply it, no one does !!!!James wrote:Why would someone want to go from ADSL2+ to ADSL1? ADSL2+ is cheaper and almost certainly faster.

Re: ADSL2+ Phone bundled questions
[quote="evandevon"]Hi! I have some questions about the adsl2+ deals (I hope this is the right place to post them) 1. It seems that if you get a "naked" adsl2+ connection on a phone line your old phone connection with e.g. telstra won't work so you have to use the bundled adsl2+ and phone plan to be ...

Re: Intermittent sync
Hey, I have a dual problem: 1. My line sync is intermittent. When it syncs, everything runs fine. Then sync drops for no apparent reason, and the modem reports the line as dead. The intervals seem random - at one stage the line was out for two days, then it came back for no apparent reason on Sunda...

Re: Stealing Other People's Property
If these people have such "proof" and are so sure of their accusations or whatever, why are they trying to get Exetel to do their dirty work ???, let them "Step Up" and chase it up themselves directly with the people they assert are doing it, also the 100 members figure, if it indeed is happening on...

(Maybe I could recommend myself as a new customer ???)   Check out http://forum.exetel.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=25&t=27340 Yes I did read up on that, thought it a bit rough to use the term "cheat" as it's only doing what is available, bit like saying the same thing about someone who u...

Moving and Downgrading.
I am presently on an ADSL2+ setup, I will be moving shortly and the area I am moving to does not have Exetel ADSL2+ available (possibly via Telstra only, yeah right !!) just ADSL1 for want of a better description, I am looking at an 8000 plan, my enquiry is, what is the best way to do the move, my r...

Re: Can we get naked ADSL2 without Optus ?
[Can't you transfer to Telstra Homeline Budget @ 19.95? When I set up my Telstra line, they told me I could not have homeline budget with ADSL. Now that I cant get naked, I might ring and see if I can change it (just wont tell them about the ADSL if they dont ask). I think you can get "Normal" ADSL...

Re: Emergency Dial Up Back Up
Is the Exetel service such that a dialup backup is needed? From what I have read this is not the case but informed expert opinion is always appreciated. Not in my opinion, outages are very rare. When they occur, they are usually resolved in a very short time. Good in theory but doesn't always happe...

Results; Line of Sight: 901 m Estimated Cable: 1442 m Estimated Attenuation: 20 Estimated Maximum Speed: 18000 I'm obvioulsy close and the speed should be better? What speed do you want, Exetel via Optus quote 18500 ?????, anyway what that says (it's an estimate after all) and what you actually get...
