Re: UDP Throttling

I'm assuming this is still happening? I'm getting UDP packet loss which is preventing me from connecting to a game server, in this case, iracing. If I tether the internet from my phone via Telstra NextG, it works, so it's definitely not a server-side issue on iracing's end. I don't seem to experienc...

International speeds slow

I know Exetel's international speeds have never been great, but lately it seems to be worse than ever. I doubt anything will improve in this respect as I understand this is part of what makes Exetel so cheap, but for my personal needs, this is no longer adequate and think I may need to bite the bull...

Thanks NIrmitha, I'll let you know if I don't hear from them a few days.

Cheers,
Tom

Waiting a month for new ADSL connection. No updates!

Hi, I've signed up to Exetel on behalf of a close friend on Dec 26th, last year. It's been a month, and I haven't had a single word from Exetel on the progress. Further more, my emails have been ignored. Can someone please look at ticket #8719545 which I emailed provisioning@exetel.com.au last week....

Disable MessageBank?

Hi,

I've just changed over to Exetel for our home phone service. I'm just wondering how I disable MessageBank? I'm not using it and it's a $6.50/month charge.

Cheers

Re: Does Exetel Offer IPv6 Yet?

It'd be handy for me as a web developer. For every website or web application I deploy, I make it accessible over IPv6. It would be much easier to test IPv6 functionality if my internet connection was natively IPv6. That's my use case anyway.

Allow Password-less Email 2 SMS

Hi, Your Email 2 SMS service would be perfect for SMS alerting, but the password requirements makes it unusable for such an application. A lot of web services such as those for backup and server monitoring, allow you to configure an email address to have alerts sent to, such as if your website goes ...

Does Exetel Offer IPv6 Yet?

Is it possible to get IPv6 enabled on my account? I don't believe my router currently supports IPv6 (old DG834), but would purchase a new router if IPv6 was available through Exetel.

Thanks,
Tom

Website Annoyances and Suggestions

Hi Exetel, I have a few usability issues and suggestions to raise with your website. All of these are relatively easy to address, but will make the website less frustrating to use for members and potential new customers. Using flash on the home page is unnecessary. It serves no advantage over the "s...

Re: Possibility of Quota Larger Than 300GB?

Cool, just noticed new plans on Exetel's website. Now includes 500GB plan. I've already put in my plan change request. I'm surprised no one who replied to this thread told me, or didn't know about it before it became available? Does anyone know whether I can reset my billing period to initiate a fas...

Re: Possibility of Quota Larger Than 300GB?

I'm in a regional area, and can only get Telstra wholesale ADSL2. My options for anything greater than 300GB are limited, especially in regard to respectable ISP's like Exetel, Internode, etc.

Possibility of Quota Larger Than 300GB?

I've already posted this on the Whirlpool forums, but thought I might get more traction on these forums. Here's how it goes: What is the possibility of offering a plan larger than 300GB, say 500GB or 600GB at under $100/m? The reason I want such a plan is not because I'm a "download whore" who plans...
