Re: ADSL2 Plan Changes

2) All plans will be changed from having an excess charge if a user exceeds their peak period allowance to shaping to 512 kbps down Are you seriously saying that you will now be shaping all plans? That's terrible. Exetel's best market advantage is not shaping excess data and not charging a fortune ...

Re: IP Address change - Discussion

The IP address of anyone on a plan under 18GB/month usage will change, those on plans over 18GB/month will NOT change. Also, if you do not get an email notice, then your IP address will not be changed. Exetel has sent me the message that my IP address will change for a site where I host DNS for a f...

When will more be available?

Can we order an 03 number now and change to 02 when available?

Thanks,
Tom

Re: What's my mobile account number?

Thanks for the PM, Dylan, advising me that Vodafone have "validated" the account number (78xx1, which is the first few numerals of my invoice numbers) and that I should try again. I called Optus and after an hour of on hold and redirecting through four different departments, I passed on the message ...

Re: What's my mobile account number?

I rang Optus again yesterday, spoke to Girish. He checked and rechecked, rang Exetel while I waited on hold etc, in the end telling me (I think) that Exetel are waiting on Vodafone to confirm the account number. In summary after our conversation, which I could barely understand, I sent this email to...

Re: What's my mobile account number?

Hi William, Thanks for your efforts and your email which stated: Yes this is the correct account number that you should be placing in the accounts field : 78xx1 As per my email reply, I then tried calling Optus again, gave them the account number 78xx1, waited, then they ("Arif") said it had been re...

Re: What's my mobile account number?

Thanks for the followup, Dylan. It's a shame that you don't have the access to sort it out. I'd appreciate anything you can do. I haven't had any reply from billing or residentialsupport, I presume because no-one staffs those today (on a weekend). Similarly, when I ring the main Exetel number a reco...

Re: What's my mobile account number?

Thanks Dylan. I've emailed residentialsupport as suggested. Can I hope for a reply today? It's pretty poor that a customer doesn't know their own account number, especially since that's exactly what's needed to port to a new phone. I hope to bring this mobile back into my Exetel account fold after m...

What's my mobile account number?

Where can I find the account number for my mobile which I have connected through Exetel? I am reluctantly porting over to Optus for an iPhone, for minimum contract period so I can switch back to Exetel ASAP. They need the account number of my existing account so I can port my number across. The mobi...

ADSL1 availability checker

Where us the ADSL1 availability checker on the Exetel site?

I know the ADSL2 availability checker is at:
http://sq.exetel.com.au/cgi-bin/adsl2_with_phone.pl

It would be helpful to have all the availability checkers together, in a similar layout to the application status checkers.

Thanks,
Tom
