Re: FTTP activation .... how long?
Well it's been a week since "activation" but no working NBN and for the last few days there have been no SMS updates. Have the wheels fallen off?

Re: FTTP activation .... how long?
UNI-D2 has had a "phantom" connection since December 2018 when NBNCo moved the existing service from UNI-D1 to UNI-D3 (my other RSP has been trying to get NBNCo to resolve that particular issue). The UNI-D4 port was dead (ie no LED when connecting a router) until Exetel had it activated around 18:00...

Re: FTTP activation .... how long?
Thanks K. It was indeed activated after your intervention. Unfortunately while UNI-D4 now lights up, there is no response from the pppoe login attempts (confirmed when I was required to attach a Windows laptop and secure error number 678 - no response from remote end). Yes, I have logged a call and ...

FTTP activation .... how long?
I ordered an NBN FTTP service last Friday night. It is now almost 4 full working days later and no sign of activation which is still pending. All NBN equipment is installed. I already have another RSP NBN service connected which took 24 hours.
How long does it take?

Re: Install tech no show!
Mlmcderm, unfortunately it is not Exetel who schedule appointments, it is NBNco and it is relatively common for the NBNco techs not to show up for many reasons which are outside Exetel's control. If you want to complain, then I'd suggest complaining to NBNco -- NBN enquiries and complaints should be...

Exetel GEO location data out of date
I gave 30 days notice to cancel my Exetel services at the start of May and noticed that I lost access to my VOIP service. Turned out that it was because Exetel thought my new IP address from my new RSP was "outside Australia". I meant to notify y'all, but it slipped my mind. The same thing happened ...

Re: The Exetel almost-13-year club
Hi Trev, Very sorry to hear about this, if you want to send me your service number, I can have our CTO investigate your particular case tomorrow and resolve it very quickly. Hi James, I truly appreciate your offer - I should note for the record that since giving the 30 days notice to cancel my serv...

Re: The Exetel almost-13-year club
I joined Exetel ADSL1 back on 14 June 2004 - so 13 years this coming June 14, except it won't be because I have today given the required 30 days notice to cancel my Exetel services. This is not a decision which I took lightly. I feel sad. This sad state of affairs was brought about by the frequent P...

Now that there is no option in the User Facilities to cancel my services, do I contact Sales? Support? Provisioning? Billing?
