Your speeds are not being limited by EXETEL.
The most you will be able to get out of your connection is 85% - 95% due to packet overheads.

We have been advised that our supplier that the outage was caused by faulty hardware.
The hardware has now been replaced and services should be restored.

Our supplier has confirmed that a transmission node has failed within their network.
We have been advised that AAPT field ops are on the way to rectify the issue.

Event

We are currently experiencing technical issues with Metro ethernet services located in the Sydney CBD.

Impact

Customers may either experience intermittent or no service.

There is currently no ETR. Any further updates will be posted here.

The supplier has identified that there is a problem with their fiber network.
Areas that are affected are North Sydney and Frenchs Forest.

A field tech from AAPT is on the way to investigate the poblem.
At this stage there is no ETR.

Event

There is a fibre break on a main trunk in the Sydney CBD.

Impact

Some customers on Metro Ethernet and SHDSL services may have degraded or loss of service.

There is no current ETA, field technicians are on route to site.
