Re: Change in Wholesale Supplier - Email on 3rd Oct 2012

We have done a preliminary service check and all the customers that have been contacted via email fall in AAPT DSLAM coverage. OK, I've been contacted, and my exchange (Maitland) does indeed have a Chime DSLAM with available ports (which I presume is providing the AAPT services), but as mentioned i...

Re: Change in Wholesale Supplier - Email on 3rd Oct 2012

Hi everyone, There are a handful of customers who would have received notifications via email on 3rd October 2012 relating to wholesale supplier changes which will be carried out from 24th/25th October 2012 onwards. For those customers in Mainland Australia (NSW, VIC, QLD, SA, WA, ACT) - Exetel is ...

Re: Changing DSL supplier in Tasmania...

Have received the email "Exetel will be changing its wholesale ADSL supplier on your broadband service in Tasmania", and advises me that "you can choose to remain a customer". It doesn't tell me who the new supplier will be, it most importantly doesn't tell me if there will be any changes to my pla...

Re: ADSL2+ on Telstra Exchanges

I applied to change from TE-M to TE-2D on 17th August. I received an email from Exetel yesterday (19th Aug) stating that the plan change will be actioned on 1st Sept, but that the speed change was already active. I checked in my user facilities, and it also says "ACTIVE" for the Changing Status as ...

Re: ADSL2+ on Telstra Exchanges

I have a question. I applied in the user facilities to change from 8mb ADSL1 to Telstra ADSL2, and after hitting the Apply button, the check screen appeared with the agreement conditions. I checked them and as everything was in order, I hit the confirm button and the confirmation screen came up, how...

Re: Can't Connect Before Registering an Available Network

I had a similar problem to this with the same message. (plus sometimes another one) It happened when the software changed the APN to the word "connect", and this occurred every time I shut the software down, even when I made sure to save the settings. Nothing I did would make the correct APN (exetel...

Re: Pensioner Broadband Plans?

I work with several pensioner groups, and I can tell you that their needs are no different to the needs of anyone else in the community, only the sites they visit, and the things they download, are different. And it's wrong to say they do not need offpeak, as many pensioners that I know stay up till...

Re: "Negativity/"Sh**storm" On 'Whirlpool'

Perhaps you might like to consider that I have some 10+ years of using electronic media, particularly fora, together with whatever slight skills I may possess in using the written word to achieve various objectives and results. I wrote the post you refer to with three objectives. I have every confi...

Money magazine Mobile recommendation

I noticed that Exetel received a "best buy" recommendation from "Money" magazine (Sept, 2008), for best mobile plan for a medium-usage average user.

I believe congratulations are in order.

Re: How do I access the Agents List?

They can email us for a list of local agents, we had a list on our website, but a few ISPs used it to poach our agents so it was removed. I was actually asked how to access agents information by a user who had been spam-blocked, and didn't know how to scan their computer to clean it up. I think it ...

How do I access the Agents List?

As the title says... If I follow the links on the Exetel website for finding an agent, they take me to information for becoming an agent, not for finding one to help a newby. There used to be easy access to the agents list, but it seems to have been lost in the website re-design. I think this is a n...

Re: Bad weather on the east coast of Australia.

We lost connection in Medowie 35 minutes north of Newcastle at 2.10PM for around 1 hour. We are being lashed by strong winds at the moment but no rain as yet. Has this become an issue again? Same thing here at Maitland, NSW, except it only came back about 15 minutes ago. (approx 4:00pm) Can only br...
