Re: ADSL2+ on Telstra Exchanges

Does that mean I'm on a RIM or line extender or something? The preliminary check for your service shows ADSL2+ is not available. That's really disappointing Jason :( :( I guess I'll be stuck on 8Meg for the next ~10 years!!!! 1. I guess it's obviously in Telstra Wholesale's hands? 2. Is there anyth...

Re: ADSL2+ on Telstra Exchanges

I just got home and the ADSL2+ speed switchover is enabled! That's an awesome result! So Jealous... I applied on the 15th, still no action yet. Any reps able to provide an update on my status? I'm SOOOOOOO pleased Exetel was finally able to release ADSL2+ plans on Telstra infrastructure (no other o...

The "$10 more" rider to your existing plan dealt with a second option that was (and probably still is) under consideration, and that was $10 for 50Gb per month of cached traffic in addition to your existing peak + off-peak allowance. Thanks CoreyPlover, I wonder what Exetel would do after the 50gb ...

Thx Exetel... The results I'm having are great! I Sync at ~3Mbps and am maxing out my connection! I guess it's a good system cause it's saving Exetel bandwidth (and therefore money), yet making things run faster for customers !! Everyone's a winner! I'm looking forward to this 50gb P2P traffic for a...

Major ADSL Connection Outage 2am Nov 27

Browsing is almost impossible!

The Telstra gigE link (that links ADSL1 customers to Exetel has almost completely dropped!

Started around2am. Still no fix...

You've changed it again....
I still prefer the logo you had before (like the forums one above)....

Doing all that perspective stuff is just a bit of an overkill and takes away from the professional image of Exetel.

Weird new logo on website

Hi there, I really liked the look and feel of Exetel's new website with the Logo (like the one above that says Exetel Forums). What's the go with the new Lightning Bolt look Exetel? I'm not a fan :) I vote to go back to the nice slick looking logo.... I think it would be nice to keep your logo consi...

Wow! Those are some really good points that you've made with your reply. Honestly, it's not often that I concede to better judgement. Thankyou 8) I suppose we can wrap up this thread then because clearly an opt-in system is the better mechanism because it tailors the finer points of the contract (q...

Thanks CoreyPlover, but I don't understand why you are so opposed to an opt-in system. Yes, your poll indicates that about 50% of people would prefer an opt-in system, but I think you'll find that most people prefer a pooled system over a charged one. Hence, Exetel's decision to cater for the majori...

I'm led to believe that the remaining 0.5% are still important to Exetel otherwise why bother implementing such complex pooling policies? I love everything about Exetel except for this one thing! I want to pay you money for my downlaods in excess of 48gb (while maintaining normal speeds), BUT YOU WO...

Your best bet is to choose one of the P or BUS plans, the current off peak period is more than sufficient for over 99.5% of our current user base. I have already explained why these plans don't suit me a number of times. Please read the bold parts of my post above. What is the thinking / logic / re...
