Re: Silent Number Revealed to VOIP Customers
My attitude is if people are rude enough to block your ID then I have the right not to answer your call.
Absolutely, just as if you show your CID, I may avoid answering your call :) However, sometimes there *are* valid reasons for blocking CID... Personally, I use exetel VoIP...

Re: Silent Number Revealed to VOIP Customers

Actually, AFAIK. this just means exetel isn't doing things properly... All telco's pass your "silent" number amongst themselves so they each know where the call originated/etc properly. Just one of those 'standard' things. However, they also pass a flag/number which indicates a couple of things 1) H...

Re: New ADSL1 Plans

Telsta's 8192/384 connections, at least for Exetel, seem to have consistently dropped in speed performance across a wide range of exchanges over the past twelve months. Re: New ADSL1 Plans

We seem to have lost all the decent 8M/384k plans...
Currently I have 60G + 54G but I don't see anything similar on the new list!

Any chance you could advise people what plan they are on, and what plan they will be moved to, and when this will be made effective, etc...

Re: Revised/New ADSL1 Plans

Hmm, my current plan is shown as: Your ADSL Account Plan Details Plan Type: TELP Monthly Access Charge: $95.00 Peak Download Limit (Mbyte): 60000 OffPeak Download Limit (Mbyte): 54000 Service Line Speed: 8192/384 So it seems I would automatically move to one of these: Plan Name Speed MONTHLY PEAK OF...

Re: Referral Bonus Doubled To $60.00

I've recently switched to a naked adsl2 plan so what do I tell my friends to put down as the Exetel Recommender Service Number? My old number or my new voip number? Your member's facilities login number. I think you still use your old number as your login number. So, you use your old number for rec...
4) Allow that selection to be changed once a month for the following month from the same page in the User Facilites. Public exetel wifi

Personally, it would be nice if it would work with any wifi device (thinking voip phones and non windows machines). So this may exclude a VPN style config, but if it was able to work similar to the maccas hotspots where you go to some web page, login/register/pay and then have a certain amount of ac...
