Re: www.exetel.com.au took too long to respond.

20 days of useless Exetel ADSL and counting.. Was OK for a while where OK is "sometimes it stays up for a couple of hours". Today I had to stay home for the Optus Tech who never contacted me. Same as last week. And same as last week after the tech fails to show (but presumably did something or other...

Re: reporting outages

That was the Exetel residential ADSL terms and conditions. Tell me... how is someone who has no internet supposed to email? I know I didn't sign anything that said "I agree I will have other internet connections in case Exetel breaks my Exetel connection". If email is all there is then that seems to...

I note this in the terms and conditions Exetel will provide a 24 hour fault reporting service for the Customer to report faults. Re: Unplanned Fibre Network Outage - Multiple Suburbs, NSW

Got an SMS saying "upstream has fixed". Maybe they did do something because it was stable overnight. Not stable now though. Not even at "connected↓ 1,4 Mbit/s↑ 465 kbit/s" I note it has been stable overnight before only to flappity flap come morning. So maybe upstream just said they did something to...

Re: Unplanned Fibre Network Outage - Multiple Suburbs, NSW

speed is now connected since 22.06.2019, 07:34 Throughput: ↓ 1,5 Mbit/s ↑ 256 kbit/s and surprise surprise... the "please leave a message" on the tech support phone number is broken. Or full and they haven't bothered to clean the messages out. So I live with that speed all weekend. Sigh, I remember...

Help posts out of date

In the post “fastest way to fix the problem” it says To log a no service service issue please call 02 8030 1000 and select option 2. This option will ask you a series of questions to determine what type of service issue you are having.” Which doesn’t happen. Might have in 2009 but not for a while no...

service issues and network status page

So I'm having service issues https://forum.exetel.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=296&t=33031 refers to forum pages that don't exist, so needs overhauling. https://www.exetel.com.au/members/a_network.php is confusing, and appears to not be updated, but I can't tell because it is confusing. The title of Curre...

Re: HSPA VoIP Performance

I admit to confusion... is the VOIP charged at the 1.5/2.5x per mb as downloads are, or is it charged at the unlimited 10c for Australian calls? I couldn't see why there was VOIP information on the 3G page if they were charged at the high data rates, but it's one of those things it is important to g...

Another vote for a better knowledge base. (And while you are at it, lose the flash, what's the point?) I have tried searching the knowledge base and always got no hits. I don't know if that's cos my search-fu was bad, there was no knowledge, or the thing was broken. A browseable one would be a great...
