Re: Off-Peak download scheduled.
If you've had someone attempting to brute force your IP for anything, this will chew up your bandwidth, regardless of whether your router accepts or drops the traffic. A few years ago I was sent a report from someone who used a basic ADSL for voip as an ISDN replacement and lost over 25% of their mo...

I cannot find cancellation in members facility and i've had a girls look for it (as a boy's look turned up nothing). Can someone please point me in the direction of cancellation for la...

Re: Forward to voicemail when busy
your VoIP hardware needs to report back unavailable essentially. If it doesn't do this, the SIP server will simply attempt a connection. You also must have an email address in the voicemail section to have the exetel forward to voicemail working. Not sure about your hardware but the Siemens VoIP/PST...

Re: voip with several outgoing numbers small office
sounds like you need the Virtual/Cloud PABX setup and link the VOIP ports on the billion to the VPBX. This wya you don't have to buy new handsets, but get some PABX functionality plus the ablity to forward to mobile - all with a web management interface and voicemail-to-email.

Re: Slow internet speeds and constant drops
you need to lodge a ticket, preferably from your members facility so that it is attached to your service. it is unlikely that this will be seen by staff until around 8am tomorrow morning, then a ticket will be raised and you will be put into the queue behind everyone else who raised a ticket before ...

Re: x-lite call dropouts 5-20 seconds
Check your router for a setting called something along the lines of "SIP (ALG) Application Layer Gateway" or simlar. Whatever that setting is, try changing it to the opposite and test. Depends on the model of router as to whether this is an option. Essentially, due to NAT, what happens is the SIP in...

Re: WARNING! POSSIBLE MALICIOUS SPAM ORIGINATING FROM EXETE
It's legit, but highly unusual. <edit> Actually I'd say someone didn't quite get the query parameters correct as I got the email and haven't had a mobile service with Exetel for years. Likely they pulled out ALL mobile records regardless of active vs inactive so your email may have been on an inacti...

Re: does exetel provide mobile phone updates
you answered that yourself. Exetel use Optus infrastructure and as such buy a subset (or whole set) of their services. If ICS push out isnt in the catalog, they can't do it.dallas.g wrote:seeing as optus won't push/OTA an ICS update to my phone will exetel?
Would be different if Optus did it but Exetel didn't.
