Red Train fibre - specifically South Morang / Mernda

Does anyone have any experience using Exetel on the Red Train fibre network in the City of Whittlesea area? I ask because Skymesh have ceased offering services on the Red Train network and I need to move a service to a new provider. It seems Exetel users in the Pakenham area serviced by Red Train fi...

Re: Port existing Exetel PSTN to Exetel VoIP - NBN

Thanks for the reply. As outlined above completing the PSTN to VoIP order process is not possible through the members area. Specifically, on page 4 "Confirm" of the online order process the error message returned is: "039******* is an active ADSL number, and cannot be coverted to a VoIP number." Thu...

Port existing Exetel PSTN to Exetel VoIP - NBN

I have an active Exetel NBN service, I want to port my existing Exetel billed PSTN number to Exetel VoIP and cancel my existing Exetel ADSL2. Both PSTN and ADSL2 are Telstra Wholesale products. What is the correct procedure here? I have tried using the online PSTN to VoIP order form. This fails with...

Unable to plan change ADSL1

I'm on pair gained ADSL1 and the only option to change plans in the member facilities is for AAPT ADSL2 plans. The AAPT based plans are definitely unavailable to me. Where did the option to change (Telstra) ADSL1 plans go? It has been like this for at least a couple of months.

Re: Transfer Your Current PSTN Home Number To Exetel VoIP

Contact with sales has been fruitless, ending in the number transfer cannot be done at all. If that is the case the applicant will not be ordering an ADSL service. Upon further research it definitely is possible and has been done (to move a phone number from iiNet VoIP to Telstra PSTN): http://whrl....

Re: Transfer Your Current PSTN Home Number To Exetel VoIP

So transferring an original Telstra PSTN number with iiNet VoIP back to Telstra PSTN then to Exetel VoIP or PSTN is not possible under any circumstances?

Re: Transfer Your Current PSTN Home Number To Exetel VoIP

Is it possible to transfer an iiNet VoIP number to Exetel VoIP or Exetel PSTN?
What would the procedure be? The iiNet VoIP number is portable as it was previously ported from Telstra.

Re: Z8 and Z15 plans - August calls/data included in Sept us

No need for an email clarification, I understand completely how the usage data is calculated and applied. I was merely making a suggestion that its application is slightly obtuse and could be improved upon to reduce customer confusion.

Re: Z8 and Z15 plans - August calls/data included in Sept us

Perhaps Exetel could wait 3 days (or until the usage data for the applicable billing period is available from the carrier) before generating the invoice?

Re: Home access exempt bill

OK, thanks for looking into it.

I previously had completely standard Telstra homeline budget $20.95 and never made or received a PSTN call on it.

Home access exempt bill

Anyone know what Home Access Exempt is? I've been billed $6.50 per month for it and back charged for the past 3mths.

Powertel to Optus ADSL2 - line rental already with Exetel

On the migration order page, there doesn't seem to be an option to select Exetel as the current biller for local call services. How do you complete the application?

Re: TW ADSL2 upgrade failed

Thanks Corey, not at all asking for something for nothing, I'm trying to pay $20 extra per month to get something like 1024kbit upstream but obviously it's nothing to do with Exetel. Exetel can't sell it if the carrier doesn't offer it. Interestingly I had a cold call from Telstra last night on my M...

Re: TW ADSL2 upgrade failed

If the ADSL 2 upgrade fails why don't customers by default get a full speed ADSL 1 profile to whatever their line is capable of?

I'm interested in more upstream and paying $20 extra a month to go from 256kbit to 384kbit isn't particularly appealing.

TW ADSL2 upgrade failed

Recieved the message, "Your ADSL speed upgrade is failed due to incompatible speed technical issue."

I assume because I'm on a RIM? Is this a policy decision by Exetel?
