Evening NBN speeds less than 10mbps: no support updates
Hi, My problem is regular <10mbps speeds on my 100mbps connection in South Hobart. I thought I would post here to see if I could get an Exetel rep to look into my support request that's been underway since mid last week without any response. The reference is 9036142. This is very similar to the prob...

Re: Evening NBN congestion: not getting support updates 8544
Thanks. Is there any update today, please. I have been away for a few days early this week, and I see from my testmy.net results that the slowdown to 1-10mbps is now constantly there throughout the day except for a brief period this morning. Evening NBN congestion: not getting support updates 8544363
Hi, My problem is regular 2mbps speeds on my 100mbps connection. I thought I would post here to see if I could get an Exetel rep to look into my support request that's been underway since November without resolution. The reference is 8544363. I am not sure why the issue is taking so long to resolve ...

Re: Customer Referral Scheme
Are there any benefits for either party if a ADSL2 wide customer refers someone to an ADSL2 wide plan (eg. the only option I know of in Tasmania)?
Alternatively, do the Lite Agent benefits apply in that scenario?

HSPA Optus 3G on iPhone 3GS: intermittent website/app issues
Hi, In the past few weeks, my WM-A service on my iPhone 3GS has been really unreliable in Hobart, Tasmania. It is set to APN exetel1. I did just try changing this to EXETEL1 and rebooting, without effect. My IP is reported as 220.233.63.110. It will access some websites and not others, even when 3G ...

Re: confused
As I understand it, HSPA is a general name for the type of Optus plan you have requested. The USIM is the new SIM card that you will place in your phone and call up to activate, so your new plan will start.

Can you port HSPA to capped, while keeping HSPA for iPad
My question has already arisen in this general thread from another user on the new mobile capped plans with ADSL2 discounts (https://forum.exetel.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=36911&start=135), but it seems a specific thread would be useful to get the definitive answer. That is, for people currently on...

ADSL1 or ADSL2? 3km of cable from Telstra exchange, Hobart
Hi folks, When you've got an estimated 3km of cable to the Telstra exchange, is it best to try ADSL1 8mbps first? or try ADSL2 first? Is the only difference the possibility of faster upload/download on ADSL2 (eg. pings would be the same)? Looking at distance graphs, it seems quite possible they woul...

Is the network for HSPA and the Optus capped plans the same?
Hi folks, I'm on the HSPA WM-A plan at the moment, thinking of porting to the new Optus capped plans for the ADSL discount. Are these both on exactly the same network? I'll be using it with either a 3GS on the Optus 2100mhz in Hobart, or maybe an Iphone 4 on the Optus 900mhz rural towers. Will I hav...

Re: Reductions In Wireless Broadband Plans
Could someone confirm I can use the HSPA change plan to change from 'HSPA M1 - HA' to 'WM A' without losing my number or ability to make/receive normal calls
The change plan on my page says "HSPA PLAN PRICE (For Use With Desktop/Laptop Computer Only)"

Drop out: Incorrect Username or Password
My ADSL2 router suddenly no longer connects this morning, reporting "Incorrect Username or Password". I haven't changed anything, and I can still login to my ADSL2 member facilities page on Exetel on my phone (eg. over 3G) using my password. I have reentered the password into the router, and switche...
