New cable hauling at both ends have completed and splicing work has commenced. As splicing has commenced, affected services should start restoring gradually. At this point, tentative ETR for affected services stands as off 0300 AEDT 09/02/2021.

Update The outage is still ongoing and there is no ETR as of now. The fibre crew has identified that, the damaged fibre still has active services. As a result of this, cable hauling has ceased. Fibre technicians have now exposed the cable and they discovered it was hit twice. Technicians are still on site working on a fix.
