Re: New ADSL2+ plans for existing customers
Sometime in the near future hopefully. But I'm not going to hold my breath waiting. Fingers crossed whatever the holdup is gets sorted soon.

Re: New ADSL2+ plans for existing customers
...t but as stated they are no longer attractive as there is now better out there. TPG is only good if you can access their on-net stuff, and thats the case with many others as well. There's just not much out there, and in the case of the plan I am currently on, theres nothing that can match it (ex...

Re: New ADSL2+ plans for existing customers
Same plan pricing, but the way I read it, if the new plan you are picking costs less per month than what you pay now then it's $60 to switch. If you're spending more it's free. Bundling the phone is compulsory, which I'm not keen on, so not sure what to do now.

Re: New ADSL2+ plans for existing customers
That's a bit of a let down. That's all I have to say on that. I can change plan now to a cheaper one for $20, but on the new plans I'll have to pay $60? Plus the landline is not in my name so that has to be sorted out too.

Re: New ADSL2+ plans for existing customers
There's a healthy discussion on this over in the whirlpool forums where quite a few of us existing customers are eagerly waiting to change to one of the new plans. It was said yesterday that a phone call by one member to Exetel resulted in them being told the plans would be available tomorrow (28th)...

Re: ADSL2+ plans.
This has been the case since September last year. Most of us have given up seeing the new plans without bending over and taking one in the form of the $99 just to get better pricing. Some have even left for other providers.

Re: ADSL2+ plans.
So it'll cost $99 to move over to a new plan as you'd have to essentially cancel your current plan and sign on as a "new" customer.

Re: New ADSL plan
Thanks James, it's been a fair while now so there is some frustration, which I'm sure you understand. I understand it's a wholesaler issue, hopefully things change soon.

Re: New ADSL plan
Any news on when (if) existing customers might have access to these plans? It's gone a bit quiet lately, a few have left, and more of us are considering it. I'm yet to find a suitable plan. Such a shame this company has what I'd like but can't offer it.James wrote: That plan is only for new customers.

Re: NO CHEAP ADSL 2 FOR YOU
So which plan did you get pauls? Did you get the offerings new customers get, or settle for what is available to existing customers (not as good price wise)? I've started shopping around, any hope that the new plans will be offered to existing members is gone for me. I could cancel and rejoin, but n...

Re: New ADSL2+ plans for existing customers
Any updates on this? I'm out of contract now and looking at what else is available, but I don't really want to leave Exetel. It's pointless changing plans with what is currently available to me as there's no value.

Re: New ADSL2+ plans for existing customers
You do know you can opt to not have the line included? Our home phone is with Telstra already, and in my fiancees name, so no need to stuff around with it.
