Re: VOIP showing as overseas caller and not connecting somet

Still happening. Have missed a few calls because of this, lucky I have a mobile when I need to make a call and just get an engaged signal. Power cycling the modem doesn't help. I did get a call from a relative 2 nights ago and there were no problems, thought it was all good again until I tried to us...

VOIP showing as overseas caller and not connecting sometimes

I have an Open Networks 824RLW modem that has been in use since November last year. I have followed all the info I can find, including the Billion set up guide and am satisfied it is all correct. Up until recently it has been working with no issues, but recently I've had a few people say they have t...

Re: Withdrawal Of Free Included Services On Older Plans
As I have said several times - the current high change plan fee is to reduce the number of plan changes being processed to a manageable number. We would expect to reduce the plan change fee in the not too distant future.
Thanks. I'll keep an eye on things as I now want to...

Re: Withdrawal Of Free Included Services On Older Plans

I've been a happy customer since 2005, and finally something has happened to annoy me, with this $90 plan change fee. I moved house last November so copped the relocation fee, I had a chance to change to anew plan then (without cost) but chose not to as the current plan was more attractive with the ...

Re: Relocating but no ports. Any way to monitor?

Looks like I'm screwed. Seems I would be rejected for ADSL2+ due to distance, and ADSL1 for line noise. Guess my only option if I want the net is to get raped for wireless.
Thanks Jason for your help, guess I'll submit to have my account closed at the end of the month.

Re: Relocating but no ports. Any way to monitor?

Thanks jason. I'll see if I can find out whether the line still has a number attached to it or not and send a PM if there is one. And I've been on ADSL2+ for too long now to go backwards, lol. Got a couple of weeks yet before I'll have to bite the bullet and terminate my account so hopefully I'll co...

Re: Relocating but no ports. Any way to monitor?

Thanks. I'd rather not go elsewhere however. Exetel have been good for me in the last 4-5 years. If it comes to it I'll look around, but for now I'll keep checking.

Re: Relocating but no ports. Any way to monitor?

Been trying morning, noon and night the last few days and still nothing, bugger. My move has been brought forward too, looking to be in the new house this weekend. Guess my only option is to keep trying then cancel at the end of this month if nothing comes up. No free ports means I can't even try an...

Re: Relocation or New Connection?

Where are you moving to Gazah? I'm in the same boat with no ports on the Shortland exchange, but I'm not moving for about 2 weeks so I'll just keep trying the relocation request as advised and hopefully a port will become available.

Re: Relocating but no ports. Any way to monitor?

Great. I'm renting the new house from the parents so know the phone was connected, hopefully no dramas when the tech gets out. I'll keep trying to get the request in, then be in touch to see about a date change. Thanks again for your help.

Re: Relocating but no ports. Any way to monitor?

Thanks again, was looking to submit the request now but didn't want the connection until early next month. I'll just do it later and hope there's a port comes up. Also, as I'm on a Naked plan, will I need to connect the landline when I move in, or just check that it has a dial tone? Just trying to b...

Re: Relocating but no ports. Any way to monitor?

Thanks for the reply. Also, is there a way to change the date of the new connection, say if the one given doesn't suit? And do I really have to be at the house for the connection to be set up? When I moved to my current address I didn't have to be home.

Cheers.

Relocating but no ports. Any way to monitor?

I will be moving to a new house in the next few weeks. I recently started to fill out the relocation request and it said service was available at the new address. Today I went to fill in the request to submit it and it now says there are no available ports and the request is ended. Is there a way to...
