Re: Down again?

Yep, sorry for the confusion, I'm talking about Email2Fax.
Still no response to my support ticket.

**Edit**
Just sent another test to myself, and it came through this time.
I guess its working again.

Re: Down again?

I've tried to send myself a fax to see if maybe it was just the reporting back feature that isn't working, but nothing has happened, so I'm thinking the whole system is down :|

Down again?

We've had no response from your fax server since 2010-01-18 16:43:01
Are there any issues we should know about?
I emailed support yesterday, but I haven't got a response yet.

That's easier said than done, but I'll look into it.
Thanks.

Issues on the reciever's end

We've had numerous occasions where a fax we've submitted has reported back as successfully sent, but it was never (or only partially) received on the other end. Is there anything that can be done about this? The vast majority of faxes we send are stock purchase orders, so you can understand the frus...

Re: VIC outage - 12:27PM Duration 10Mins

Rather than SMS and "other after the event" investments, how about a redundant route or just a redundant failover router? If a redundant router doesn't already exist, it might help in the current situation, but there's bound to be other connectivity issues in the future that a customer notification...

Re: VIC outage - 12:27PM Duration 10Mins

While I appreciate the informative updates here, if the connection is down, how is one supposed to be able to access this forum to see that it's not just at their end? Personally, I have a secondary service I can use in circumstances like this, but most people would not be so lucky. Does Exetel have...

Re: email to fax - is it working?

We've sent multiple faxes so far today. Nothing has appeared in the list.
This has happened before, and it usually gets sorted out. When it does, you'll get a big hit of responses at once.

Price rise?

Forgive my ignorance, but when was the price changed to 10 cents? The fax service has been working so well lately, that I haven't needed to check our usage details for quite a while now. When I checked this morning after a fax failed to respond (it has now - just delayed), I discovered that the pric...

Delay between retries

When you send a fax, and the recipient line is busy, (I believe) eXetel will try up to two more times before finally giving up. I'm curious as to what the delay between these retries is, because we have sent faxes in the past and within five minutes we get a response saying something along the lines...

Re: Email2Fax Down today? 10/02/09

They've all magically appeared now. There must have been a backlog or something. Sorry if I've wasted anyone's time. Joel. UPDATE: There must be something else happening, because one of the faxes was a test I sent to myself, and I just finally got a response saying "busy signal detected" when the li...

Email2Fax Down today? 10/02/09

We've sent 7 faxes since 9.30 this morning, and only one of them has appeared on our fax details page.
As far as I can tell there have been no emailed responses for any of them.
Are there any issues happening today that would be causing this?

Thanks.
Joel.

Re: From Number Header Stamping for Faxes

I would also be interested in this. The CallerID is less important in my opinion, from my experience, most people don't look at the screen when a fax is being received. But having a customisable header stamp would definitely be helpful. It wouldn't have to be customisable per fax, just per registere...
