Re: Packet loss

Getting more latency issues/packet loss during offpeak. I guess lots are downloading since it's the start of the month and some now have "unlimited" offpeak quota.

Re: Price Increase Of $5.00 per Month On All Old ADSL Plans

It would do that if you ticked shaping when it was available long ago. Changing plans doesn't remove the shaping/$6 option, you have email support to remove it.

Re: Packet loss

I'm not on Powertel, my exchange uses Optus hardware. I haven't noticed much packet loss recently but I haven't been testing 24/7.

Re: Packet loss

Rebooting the router has temporarily fixed the problem and my modem synced at a slightly slower speed but I did try that yesterday night a few times and it didn't solve it.

Packet loss

On 28th of Feb and 1st of March, playing games during the day works well. At around 8pm, I start getting packet loss. I'm in VIC on SPLE exchange. It's much worse on 3000 byte packets than 32 byte packets. ping 220.233.0.9 -n 30 -l 3000 Ping statistics for 220.233.0.9: Packets: Sent = 30, Received =...

Re: Exetel Website virus ?

I was hosting that file. I really doubt it was a virus, probably just a false positive. The official website doesn't host the free version anymore, so I was just keeping it alive. It's not important and I host it on other servers. I even got Norton to scan an accessible version of the file and it sa...

Re: New ADSL1 Plans

I don't really need the webspace or email addresses. I do sometimes use the faxes and SMS but since this new plan is $10 cheaper for me, I save anyway.

Re: Change In Off Peak/Peak Times

All of the people who changed their download period away from 12 midnight when we had that discussion will keep it after 1/8/09 as a 'thank you' for being a good Exetel "citizen". So they keep a 12 hour download period. The same amount of hours as before and no midnight lag, sounds great to me. Of ...

Re: Change In Off Peak/Peak Times

Shame offpeak had to be reduced to 10 hours but if this fixes the packet loss and lag that occurs around midnight (especially in VIC) and it was the only option then I guess it's alright. Users in the other states that didn't get packet loss at night might not see the need for the change. I switched...

Re: New ADSL Plans For July 1st 2009

Those were ideas for a new cheap plan, not a change to ALL plans. It wouldn't effect you unless you voluntarily changed to that theoretical plan.
