Re: High latency while using Ventrilo and World of Warcraft

That fairplay option still exists? I had a quick look but couldn't find it.

Re: High latency while using Ventrilo and World of Warcraft

I still can't play online games between 12am and 2am since they stutter too much with packet loss. Please upgrade your offpeak links, especially for ADSL1 in VIC. I have a friend with exetel ADSL2+ in QLD that can play fine after 12am but not against me.

Re: High latency while using Ventrilo and World of Warcraft

If this fix can be applied to ADSL1 accounts, please add me to the list.

Re: High latency while using Ventrilo and World of Warcraft

What is this fix? I don't play WoW or use vent but as soon as it hits 12am, I get packet loss and it slows GTA2 and other games I play against Australian users.

This would work better as a poll.

Re: Possible Change To Off Peak Period

It won't make much difference to me either way. Sometimes I play games at 12am and sometimes I download 12am-2pm.

Re: Revisions To ADSL1 Plans

I'm on the old TELL plan. I did get the 54GB offpeak increase last time but usage page still says 54GB, so I assume I don't get the 60GB offpeak. I never use 54GB offpeak anyway.

That's probably against Apple's terms and conditions but their site seems to be in maintenance right now, so I can't check.

edit: There seems to be several SMS apps, so maybe they are allowed.

I'm on ADSL1 but I didn't receive the email and now there are no (O) plans listed on the change my service page.

Re: Migration Of ADSL1 Customers To Optus ADSL2

I make less than 35 local calls per month, so Telstra HomeLine Budget $20.95 line rental is better than Exetel's $30 line rental. Naked + VOIP would be cheaper but I need to keep my current phone number.

Re: Blocked Page

Best thing to do would be to remove the blocked page and excess charges on the shaped plans and make shaping actually work but I guess that is easier said than done.

Re: Modification To 'Shaping' Option

How about giving an option of "cutting off" the connection for the rest of the month instead once you pass the 2GB? You have that option, just unplug your modem :) It would be reasonable to auto cut off if the user was racking up a huge bill and that was out of the ordinary. Any cut off option woul...

Re: Modification To 'Shaping' Option

defeat the purpose of chosing shaping It will still give you an extra 2GB but it could get expensive if you aren't careful. I suggest you stop your downloads on or before you reach your limit. Browsing goes to poop when shaped but some downloads can still be very fast, especially if there are Austr...

Re: Increases To Many ADSL1 Plan Allowances

Nice, seems you really want to keep people on the ADSL1 plans.

One odd thing, I noticed TELL and TELX both have 54 gbytes peak, both are 1500kbps Down/256kbps Up but one is $75 and the other $95 (I know which one I'd choose).
