ADSL only -> ADSL + Telephone

I have multiple phone lines at work, two of which are connected in rotary: one of those lines in rotary is connected to Exetel for ADSL only (it's a historical thing since the days of applecomm). As my contract with the existing phone service supplier has expired, I wish to move my ADSL to one of my...

Are There Blackberry Plans with Exetel?

I've looked through my member services and can't find any BB plans. Messages on this forum talk about BB18, BB55, setting up BB on Optus etc. I have 3 Optus BBs, one uncontracted, two of which come out of contract in October and am trying to decide between purchasing new 9900s and moving them across...

Re: Proposed plan changes - contract period

I've received this email telling me that I'll be moved off my OF-20 plan unless I re-contract. When I look in User Facilities, there's no option for OF plans to contract to: have the OF plans been cancelled? That means I am to be forced off OF-20 to OT-20. On the other hand, If I look at exetel.com....

Current Biller Not Listed

I'm trying to move my service at my work-place from one line to another one that's not part of the rotary system so that I can switch to Exetel's ADSL2+Telephone OF-100 plan. In the form to move service , my current phone biller (Iftelecom) is not listed in the drop-down box and there's no ability t...

New Phone Number for ADSL, Same Address

We currently have Exetel ADSL2 via Telstra on a rotary line at our place of work (residential ADSL is fine for our requirements): ADSL has been on this line since the year dot and was never an issue until Exetel started marketing such attractive plans :D However, we can't have individual rotary line...

Re: 1st Class Service

I'm not sure where to put this post, but this thread's as good as any........ My ADSL2 download speeds with Exetel (and previous ISPs extending back to applecomm) have never been more than 400kB/sec, irrespective of the download site (Australian or US). I've never queried my original speed, ADSLexch...

Re: Please Use This Thread To Advise Exetel Of Typos/Errors

Discrepancy on two pages dealing with "ADSL2 (With Telephone)" https://www.exetel.com.au/members/change_service_plan.php OF plans "included in this plan is 9,000 minutes worth of FREE calls. Calls included in this 9,000 minutes are National Calls, Local Calls and Calls to Optus Mobiles." compare it ...

Re: Please Use This Thread To Advise Exetel Of Typos/Errors

One of my ADSL accounts is currently Exetel ADSL2 via Telstra (TE-2D) At page https://www.exetel.com.au/members/change_service_plan.php The heading says "ADSL2 (via Telstra) Plans Please note all of the following plans require you to rent your telephone line from Exetel. " No monthly rental is nomin...

Copy Of Invocie Emails Not Received

Is there an issue with "Copy of Invoice" emails? These were regularly received though 2010 up to 2 November, then nothing in December nor January, one on 4 Feb, nothing since - across two out of three ADSL accounts. I still get all the weekly notification, planned maintenance and parrot newsletters,...

Re: Separate telephone and internet billing

Similar issue - separate invoice for 80c worth of phone calls issued on 1 April, but nothing on my credit card, so I guess that will be added to the next account. Though if the idea of billing on the 28th was to spread the workload for your invoicing software, a second bill 3 days later is not going...

With respect, changes won't affect you till 28 March - that's six week's notification. You'll still be billed on 1st March (for 28 days), then thereafter on 28th month.

Re: Billing Date Change

Will Optus/Telstra (whoever) do (re)connection changeovers on any billing date, or is the first of the month an industry-wide standard? I ask as I can foresee "issues" with a change of plan being billed pro-rata if it's not a first-of-month account. In agreement with others, billing date is irreleva...

Re: Price Increase For Out Of Contract Customers - Continued

I'm more than happy with the new plans. Last year my peak download got upped from 50 to 100G (even though I was happy with 50G), so I've taken up OF60, meaning my monthly bill has gone from $73 to $75 per month (and my monthly allowance has fallen from 100G to 60G – only ever used 40G anyway). Off p...

Re: Please Use This Thread To Advise Exetel Of Typos/Errors

On page https://www.exetel.com.au/members/service_change_plan_submit.php Seventh bullet point: "If you submit your plan change with less than three business days left in the current month, your upgrade may be delayed up to an additional 2-4 working days in the next callender month. Should be "calend...
