Technicians are due to attend site shortly. Our suppliers suspect a power issue / or device failure based on the nature of this issue.

ADSL1 customers in WA with a 220.233.x.x IP address (ie. the customers not on the Perth POP) will have no authentication / connectivity currently. The connections have been restored at 6:00pm on 11/09/08.

Technicians attending site dispatched by our suppliers repaired / replaced broken fiber.

Our suppliers have advised that a technician will be attending the site within the hour. I will provide further updates as they become available.

The issue is still ongoing, however customers should be connected to the Sydney POP. This may result in a degraded service for some.

Melbourne ADSL2+ outage

Customers on ADSL2+ services IncPhone and NonPhone will have lost their PPP session this afternoon. Customers will most likely not be able to authenticate.

The issue has been identified with our supplier and is currently being investigated.

If you have any serious usage meter concerns please email that concern through to residentialsupport@exetel.com.au for further investigation. If you are an 'IncPhone' plan you are unable to have your landline with another provider and continue the Exetel supplied ADSL2+ service. Please find that if you are on a 'Nonphone' plan you can relocate the service to the new premise. You will need to have a line activated with Telstra or another telephony provider first, before proceeding through this form.
