@Corey. If i was using my months quota on HD porn i would be worried myself. But with services like bigpond movies, amazon unbox'ed etc. a few movies a weekend can really add up. Now i have to agree using 100gb is avoidable, heck even using 5gb is avoidable. But the Web is becoming more and more for...

@corey its pretty easy to rack up over 48gb in legit downloads these days.
With porn in HD now, game updates in the 100+mb range as well as software updates being 100+mb, its very easy to go though 100gb in a month if you let a whole household download what they want.

48GB should be enough for most people in off-peak as long as you are not getting into mass-pirating. Maybe for Mum or Dad users like you that go to a few websites and send a few emails but start downloading TV shows, games and porn and it takes up alot of download limit I think thats a bit harsh, M...

Still we cant complain about $3p/gb it beats being shaped or god forbid 15cents per mb Shaping is better than $3gb. No excess charges I have to disagree. I originally moved to Exetel because they did not shape, How people can call 64kbps DSL is beyond me. 64kbps makes online gaming, web browsing or...

Well since i was going about 5-10gb over i figure upgrading to the 24gb plan should help me keep under :) Still we cant complain about $3p/gb it beats being shaped or god forbid 15cents per mb. btw i edited my original post ...

sad that it has to come to this, but i totally understand why it has had to with people going so extremely over. I just upgraded from the $55 1.5mbps to the 65$ 1.5mbps plan in an attempt to stay under the 48gb limit, i always seem to go about 5gb over the off peak limit :( But since i download abou...

I think its a great if you want to donate some of your profits. And on a good month I would be willing to opt in and add a donation. but I really would rather not see any compulsory donation or price rise for us consumers. *edit* After further reading maybe i misunderstood exactly what the plan was....

2) We have had a policy since we started of keeping our users informed - I doubt that anything we say is of any use to any competitor. If it is it means one of two things: I like Exetel for the same reason, i find it rather interesting getting to read up on the technical side of an ISP, and its a n...

I reakon its a stupid idea. Why would I want to give randoms access to my internet and download limit. Every MB they download is another MB I cant download uh im pretty sure, the plan is for reselling/splitting the costs. Not just to run an unsecured wireless network. I can see this is a good idea,...

yeah i would like to know as well. I average about 50gb a month in the offpeak, sometimes a little more. Will i see any adverse effects for staying above 48 and below 72gb, month after month? I dont want to end up being shaped for a whole month because i went over two months previously or anything. ...
