aww i have such bad timing, just connected a bunch of people to adsl.

With pooling, if we exceed 72gb will our speed still be pitiful? because its hard to browse etc when you hit orange/red.

sorry tocpcs -_- guess it was late and i wasn't reading properly. On whirlpool there appears to be a fair bit of anger, the general consensus is that exetel will save allot of money on international bw, then charge extra on top to access the cache, i can see this is a valid opinion but you are a bus...

tocpcs, you realize pretty much every single isp in the entire world has a user to bw ratio of 1:40( i think thats what it works out as ) give or take 10. This is using 1.5mbps speed as an avg. 1.5mbps of international bw costs more than you pay in a few months. And what you don't seem to understand...

If the price point remains at around $10 for 50gb, ill be spending $20 a month more. i wonder what the difficulty would be in having the usage metre update every 4-6hours? This would help with monitoring, the amount we hit. Just thinking like this because you could chew through 12 or even 24gb peak ...

thanks. that really helped to clear things up, I was rather confused about the situation before, pretty sure others were as well. It sounds like great end user value, especially if we can still use the offpeak data for P2P downloads. One last question though. Say i start downloading an uncached torr...

So given the current information, how much would we be looking at for a 8mbps plan, that allowed say 100-150gb of P2P downloads, along with 12-24gb of normal data? @skurlow I use the torrent protocol for such things as: WoW updates Game trailers Movie trailers TV show trailers Program updates Ubuntu...

but $130 is far more than $10 more expensive than the most expensive 1.5mbps plan.

And in the first post it said unlimited for $10 more.

very confused -_-

Exetel resells the internet, the same way any ISP who buys bandwidth off another company.
Which would be 99% of all ISPS.

Exetel is not a Visp, they are a fully fledged ISP with their own hardware etc.

if you google "exetel reseller" you dont even get anything implying they are a reseller lol.

This is Utopian thinking. It isn't possible to have a cache large enough to hold everything anyone ever retrieved via P2P such that the ISP only has to retrieve it from elsewhere (on behalf of a subscriber) only once. The size of cache employed by Exetel will only reduce the amount of duplicate dat...

Why would i pay extra for full speed P2P, when i already get full speed P2P?

With current speeds its already a battle to not go over my limit.

Sounds interesting, but we really need some clarification. If this is only for the most expensive plans then its not much interest. But if its +10 to any of the current plans then im sure allot of people are going to be very interested. So will it be all P2P? or just Bittorrent. And can we clearly d...
