Hi Richard

I realise that, and when I suggested I might post on the forum to see what the bigger picture might have been, he also thought that was a good idea.

In the end, what is important to me, is getting an explanation one way or the other.

Thanks again.

Loss of Otpus ADSL2 connection and Phone 11.45pm 4 October

Hi Just wondering if anyone else had a total loss of service around this time last night? I'm in Melbourne, on the Northcote exchange, and lost it all for about an hour or so. No dial tone, just a slow single beep. Tried all the usual things and lodged a ticket. As the service is restored, Exetel ha...

2) I doubt that's going to be possible - its an IP service. I figured that might be the case but had to ask. Would forwarding the old number to the new number do the trick until the new number is established? Cheers, Mike I guess it might be an option but I was really thinking more that if a busine...

Sounds great.

Of course final costs, etc would be the clincher.

Any chance we could port an existing fax number to use with this service?

Re: Net usage Item works in Firefox

to get it to work: You have most likely done this however: 1. Uninstall the version of Net Usage Item installed within Firefox. 2. exit and restart. 3. goto : http://netusage.mozdev.org/installation.html 4. download from the " Install" Button. and 5. install, exit and reload Firefox. Hope some help...

Gee I cannot keep up, mine is only 157.1 though it does work.

Anyway, the real thanks should go to the author.

Just to let everyone know the Firefox meter has been updated and is now working here perfectly.

Thanks as always to Loune and especially for the speedy fix.

As Mr Creosote posted 4 posts above yours, it is not a change at your end.

So will this have any impact on ADSL2+ users?

It doesn't read as if it will.

Username for the meter is your phone/service number.

But I wondered from reading the earlier post whether in copying and pasting you were just selecting the asterisks in the password field?

That document as it indicates is more likely to relate to mobile and wireless services. There may be a new system for wired services, but the main issue for both is the need to either identify location (for 000, etc) or to flag it is a "mobile" service so that 000, etc know not to rely on location i...

I think we need to go back to the original intention that was given for this policy change - Not surprisingly there are a significant, and growing, number of email accounts that have been set up and either not used at all or used and then 'abandoned'. So for me, deleting e-mails older than 3 months ...
