Re: FireFox Usage Meter

Hi Dazzled

Thanks. I am aware Exetel doesn't produce the meter just wondering on how the updating of the XML meter is coming.

Sounds like it is slow from you post.

Re: FireFox Usage Meter

With the recent change to have billing periods that don't align to the first of the month, this has stopped working for me - at least the information it produces doesn't match the actuality. Is this a change that Exetel needs to fix as I believe there is a plain text report page that a lot of usage ...

Re: New $3 surcharge

I would however stress that this surcharge may be abolished next month, or in several months. It is also likely that in the near-term future new plans will be released without these surcharges and users will almost definitely have the option to switch to them. Again, that has been what has happened...

Re: New $3 surcharge

I am no solicitor however my understanding is Exetel can vary the 'contract' in their favour so long as they give notice in writing of the change and give forty-two days from the date of the notice in which the Customer may cancel the Service without incurring fees or charges other than Accrued Cha...

Re: New $3 surcharge

Perplexes me why they use the surcharge method instead of simply raising the monthly charge of each affected plan by $3? Is it a limitation in the billing system? I have a feeling it might be that if you are still under contract they cannot make the increase and nothing to do with the billing system.

Re: New $3 surcharge

last time this had to be done it was on existing plans and then new plans released after that date had the fee included in their cost so it didn't show as an extra, I'm not sure if that's what will happen this time but it does seem to be the logical approach You are right that was the previous appr...

New $3 surcharge

My apologies if there is already a topic on this but I looked and couldn't find it. I have just received an email telling me there is about to be a $3 monthly surcharge/Account Administration Fee on my ADSL account. I am guessing from the way it is worded and the fact that the charge is now listed o...

SMS sent from members facilities on wrong time zone

Just had a friend point out that a SMS I sent her this morning was showing up with the time 11 hours earlier than I sent it.

So I am guessing that they are sent with GMT set as the timezone rather than DST.

Can this be fixed?

Re: Extras with the new ADSL2 plans

Thanks.

I thought that might be really what was meant.

A shame really as I thought the previous packages come across as more attractive and I guess from Exetel's perspective would be better as we all tend to overestimate how much of the "extras" we really will use so see them as better value.

Extras with the new ADSL2 plans

Just digesting the new plans info and trying to decide how to compare it to my existing plan as I do use some of the "useful add ons" so I was just wondering about this paragraph in the newsletter The highly useful ‘add ons’ can be ordered by any customer of the new plans at their discretion but the...

I figured that was what you were getting at.

So the increase in off peak doesn't apply to old plans either?

Re: Revisions To ADSL2 Plans

Some nice improvements and additions - thanks to Exetel. I don't have an Exetel VOIP account currently so what's the best way to get one and a DID so I can benefit from the free calls? EDIT: Looks like someone else had the same question while was posting mine. :D Are you on a currently listed plan?...
