Re: Revisions To ADSL2 Plans

Some nice improvements and additions - thanks to Exetel.

I don't have an Exetel VOIP account currently so what's the best way to get one and a DID so I can benefit from the free calls?

EDIT: Looks like someone else had the same question while was posting mine. :D

Re: Exetel Announces "Naked" ADSL2+ Plans

Maybe it could be an option, say for a $50 fee? That way, those who don't care (and are happy with changing numbers) are not subsidising those who do care. I think it's the difference between an AMCA supplied number and a number supplied from a wholesaler like Optus, it's not just a money issue Opt...

Re: Possible New ADSL2 Plans For New Financial Year

We have slightly increased the download allowances on all ADSL2 plans (inctelephone and naked) from 1st June. Didn't the INCPHONE C download allowance increase? My member page shows 32GB, which is the same as it was in May. It was increased as were all the incphone plans. What was it before as I th...

I wouldn't be surprised if you were right about Optus, Richard.

Re: No sync on Naked ADSL2+ service

Thanks again for the update and hopefully we get a speedy resolution.

I'm also surprised that Optus cannot act on the fact that you are contacting them with potentially 9 problems.

Re: No sync on Naked ADSL2+ service

Thanks again.

I guess if they haven't been online they may have not noticed.

Do the engineers work on the weekend or do we need to wait till tomorrow for further progress?

No sync on Naked ADSL2+ service

I've just lodged a ticket for my daughter as she has a Naked ADSL2+ service and she cannot connect. Tried turning the modem off for 20 minutes etc but no change. It was working fine on Friday so I'm guessing it might be related to yesterday's outage but it is not back to normal (like my bundled ADSL...

But if you don't need the extra 40G then you can save money ($35!).

Seems obvious why.

Personally I have no interest in shaping and I wonder what the real demand is or whether it is just a vocal minority. But in the end the viability of it is down to Exetel. Having said all that I think the first option is the better one and is also consistent with other plan changes that Exetel offers.

[ I must admit to being wary but having been with Exetel for a while I was prepared to take a punt. In the end, it sounds like it won't be something Exetel offer and until there is a more universal porting system it will stay a challenge. It is "coming" - I don't know in what timeframe. I'm very re...

Apparently I still "own" it..... but I have no idea how to recover it and have a voip account point to it. .... I finally "got over it" and changed all my letterheads and business cards. I have put it down to experience........ I suggest you don't wade into that river. I must admit to being wary bu...

The one thing I really want to see with the Naked Plans is the ability to port the existing number so you have the same phone number before and after the plan change (on VOIP of course, though I guess it doesn't have to be on Exetel VOIP if that helps.. It is the one thing stopping me and a number o...

Now would that make it easier for you to do number porting from PSTN to VOIP on the Naked plans? (he asks hopefully :D )
