Re: New ADSL2 Plan Parameters

Lowest cost 8134 plan (TEM) is $65/mnth. Lowest cost ADSL2 plan (OTA) is $50/mnth. (I also note 8134 TEK plan is lowest cost for new users @ $45/mnth). Does the OTA plan include the rental of the telephone line - so toal cost (ADSL and phone) is the $50 shown? As quoted by JL those new 8mb entry pl...

Re: 8192/384 Plan Parameters

In terms of the revised 8192/384 plans you have been around long enough to know that there is always a delay between announcing new plans and making them available on the user facilities. The amount of price drop took me by surprise. Had me wondering whether these would be viable for existing users...

Re: 8192/384 Plan Parameters

I am on 8mb and get max speed. I am about 1klm from the exchange and the attentuation indicates a possible speed of about 18mb. I am generally not interested in the upload increase just download. I am Regional 2, Telstra only exchange. Why would you expect there would be no increase in speed on regi...

Re: ADSL2+ on Telstra Exchanges

Kind of off-topic, but just wondering... If you are doing a "cheap" 200GB plan for Telstra are you considering doing something similar for Optus and AAPT plans? We already offer 180 gb off peak allowances. How much does anyone seriously need? Depends on whether or not Exetel decides to include free...

Re: ADSL2+ on Telstra Exchanges

Interestingly at the same time that you are announcing this both iinet (chime) and TPG are installing in my exchange.

No Optus/Powertel though which has always been strange....

Anyway cant wait to see the plans I will be jumping straight onboard.

Re: ADSL2+ on Telstra Exchanges

Have been waiting a long time for this decision :)

Look forward to seeing the plans.

I thought they didnt want to do business whilst you had Optus etc serving ADSL2 ?

Re: New Residential Members Facilities

Great improvement :)

I noticed a few suggestion boxes I hadn't got a reply from have turned up in the new design which I was stoked to see.

Some nice little additions which have really improved it.

Well done to whomever was involved.

Re: FTTH Plans

Sorry for the thread bump if there is another recent one out there... Noticed several news articles where Opticomm have stated Exetel will roll out their FTTH plans in Q1 2010 using the existing Opticomm cables eg http://www.itwire.com/content/view/28801/127/ Any news on whether that date is viable ...

Re: Pioneer Discount Increase From 1st February 2009

I don't qualify either, and I joined at the end of January 2004 (the first month Exetel accepted applications). Gidget I was a mid Jan 04 joiner with a service a few weeks later. Due to a 12mth sojourn O/S for work in 06, I too do not get any discount. Still saving 20 bucks a month on comparative p...

Re: Scum Gone By Christmas?

Whilst I have very little knowledge of how an ASX notice should be worded, I would imagine that when the terms 'current climate' and 'significant partnership' are used in the same, that its all bad.

Would Optus provide fair notice of discontinuing services ? In other words, could Exetel have in place a plan to deploy POP's in the notification period or would you have to deploy based on the assumption ? Although Exetel is small in the big telco picture you have (from an outsider) a good relation...
