Re: Modem forcing READSL2 mode

And indeed it hasn't been capped: Operational Mode G.Dmt.BisPlus Annex Type AnnexA Upstream 571900 Downstream 1187900 Latency(Upstream) Fast Latency(Downstream) Fast I have a question about the above. Usually it says Interleaving instead of Fast, which usually gives me approx +20ms latency. I though...

Re: Modem forcing READSL2 mode

Just thought I'd update this thread. My service seems to have been capped to:
Operational Mode G.Dmt
Annex Type AnnexA
Upstream 320000
Downstream 1664000
Downstream/Upstream don't change after modem reboot. Connect mode has and always has been set to ADSL2+ autofallback

Re: Modem forcing READSL2 mode

My net resynced on 'ADSL2' mode @ 10000/800 yesterday arvo till about 5am today according to my modem. It has since reverted back to READSL2 mode. I already have a technician coming over to our premises on the 2nd of May but I'm just wondering what the issue could be. Of course noone would know with...

Modem forcing READSL2 mode

Hi, last night I asked residentialsupport to put me back on the 24000/1000 profile from 12000/1000. Long story short I used to be the 24000/1000 profile stability issues started to occur and have been on the 12000/1000 profile every since, dating back maybe 2 years? I have a feeling this might be wh...

Re: Issues at Nth Parramatta tonight?

I'm not sure if this is relevant as I'm on a different exchange (Edensor Park). My net has been dropping out every 5mins or so ever since I got home from uni, started at about 530ish I guess. It's been 1hr since the last disconnection and It seems to have stabilised (fingers crossed)

Re: Issue with Usage Meter

Hey, I had a similar issue too. I opened a ticket and this was my response:
Dear Sir/Madam,

Kindly note that our software development team have advised us that there is currently an issue with the usage meter.

We will provide you an update once we receive.
So hopefully they fix it soon!

Bugged Usage Meter

Long story short, I set up my torrents (8GB file) overnight: started 3:43am, finished at 7:28am Woke up to check on my usage (at 12:30pm) to see that the offpeak usage was 6.4gb and peak usage (30mins into the day) was 1.6gb. Clearly something is amiss. Do these things correct itself automatically? ...

Re: Naked users forgotten?

Currently on NF/23NOTEL, thinking of switching to OCV200 I get to keep my VOIP number (read this a few pages back) Do we need to do anything to make this happen or will it do it automatically? The NAKED ADSL2 line provided in this cost CAN be used to make standard PSTN telephone calls (only if you w...

Re: Very low sync (Naked ADSL2)

Problem has re-occured again. Email has been sent to residentialsupport@exetel.com.au regarding a line test. Ticket: #2481113 My wall socket will be fully isolated tomorrow 12-5pm if a test can be done tomorrow. Since this ADSL2 service is my only online point of contact, i'll recheck this thread an...

Re: Very low sync (Naked ADSL2)

Having the exact same problem in the OP again. Switched off the modem this morning, turned it back on about 2hrs ago and sync speeds were low. Could the same change be done to my line again as per the 2nd post to see if it fixes it again?

EDIT: Never mind, it fixed itself

Re: Very low sync (Naked ADSL2)

My sync rates are always:
Line Rate - Upstream (Kbps): 812
Line Rate - Downstream (Kbps): 11998

My max attainable is 16000/1000. Am i currently on some sort of stability profile? If so, could i get taken off it?

Very low sync (Naked ADSL2)

Modem stats (Netcomm NB9W) SNR Margin (dB): 12.1 11.7 Attenuation (dB): 33.5 19.1 Output Power (dBm): 0.0 12.8 Attainable Rate (Kbps): 3124 44 Rate (Kbps): 2269 45 Apart from the low sync rates, the attenuation is a lot higher than normal. Dropouts have also been sporadic over the past week, but the...
